Put him on a stack of anti anxiety meds and some rage inducing ones, sprinkle a little PCP on top, and he knocks Fury out
OF course he could win the rematch, but will he? No most probably. You can have all the tools in the world but if you can't mentally back it up in the ring, you will lose. Wlad was in great physical shape on the weekend but was almost paralyzed from fear of being countered. Fury had the perfect gameplan but Wlad had the tools to change it, but didn't. If Fury maintains his focus until the rematch, i can expect an even better win. Fury's showed amazing amounts of mental strength to execute his plan, he is a real world champion.
He needs to be super aggressive and learn to fight on the inside. If Fury comes out aggressive Vlad could just end up going into his shell, again.
Two or 3 more than what Fury threw , not what he threw , so WLAD needs to throw and land triple if not more. You simply do not understand boxing in any way shape or form.
If he pulls the trigger early like he did against Wach then yes he has a good chance. He really hurt Fury in the last round. If that was earlier it could have been different.
Yep, if he had a 15 rounder I think he would have tagged Fury. He left it too late. I think it's a 50-50 fight depending on what changes Wlad makes. If I was him I'd go out on my shield as he's nothing to lose. Clock that clown and take the risk earlier.
Sure he has a chance. A good chance. But it is all predicated on his willingness to eat some shots to land some. If he goes in and fights the same, well then, no, I wouldn't like his chances.
Yes because Fury was so willing to engage in the first fight. He did the absolute bare minimum to win.
:rofl He threw very few punches and he wasn't going to engage it looked like a Fencing match more than a boxing match.
He can win because he's a hard hitting heavyweight and if he lands flush he can hurt and KO you. However, he would need a serious psychological transformation to go in there and perform in a manner that would allow him to take the risks required to land the shots. Wlad is one of the most cautious fighters on the planet - unless he's sure something is going to land then he's really not going to fancy throwing it. Against smaller men his style is effective because he can take the centre of the ring and keep them on the end of his jab (or just his outstretched arm) and then wait until the right hand or hook eventually presents itself. He's also able to utilise his size and strength by moving back quickly out of range or tying them up when he comes forward. This means that he can control a fight and out score an opponent even while throwing very few power punches. He begins to struggle when a fighter employs a lot of movement (especially head movement). His punch output drops, particularly his right hand and left hook. For example in the Haye fight we saw him struggle to land many meaningful shots against Haye's head movement , but he still able to use his size advantages to virtually shut out the smaller man. However, against Fury he found himself in a situation where his opponents head and foot movement made him unsure that he would land, which made his punch output drop - but this time the size and reach of the opponent meant that he didn't have the same control of distance he would usually enjoy, and his opponent was able to score against him and win rounds. Even when he found himself losing the fight he clearly struggled to change his mentality and take more risks, which is pretty damning for his chances in a rematch. To land on a fighter who is utilising the kind of movement Fury was then you're going to struggle with single shots - you're going to have take risks and put your punches together so that if the first doesn't land then the second or third might. But Wlad hasn't been a combination puncher for years. Also, the more punches he's throwing then the more susceptible he's going to be to get hit back and we saw again this weekend that he just does not react well to getting tagged. He'd need to be willing to take that shot and then fire back with his own, but he's so hard wired to grab on for dear life when he's hit that I can't see this happening either. Finally, the more shots he throws and missed the more he'll tire, and personally I thought he looked pretty worn out by the in the middle of the fight so it's not just as simple as coming out and throwing bombs. We've all seem him come out and empty his gas tank too early before, so he's not going to risk that again. TLDR: he has the physical attributes and skills to win the rematch but it is asking him to become a completely different fighter at 40 years old.
