Well....here goes. Prior to Mike Tyson fighting Douglas I felt that she had completely screwed/rewired his head. Not that it was a great head to begin with but it was the head of a very effective fighter. We all know what happened there. Taking nothing from Douglas he was motivated and was willing to pay the price. He was there at the right time and place. I can say I have had the sting of what a woman can do to your head if you become vulnerable. Later, of course, you become immune and say Fug that sheeiiit. and like buses here comes another. thankfully. However, there may be something here. His mind might be more than distracted. If so....straighten it out quick and rematch....if not retire. He has my respect completely either way. I hope he comes back and ko's Fury. which he is totally able to do and then retires.

But none of that excuses the terrible strategy, the Pavlovian reflex grabs and the sheet lack of intellect in the ring that Wladimir exhibited. He fought a bigger, stronger, younger guy. To beat someone like that you need to be smarter, use your experience to set up traps, or utilize your superior chin and superior firepower to trade with your opponent and take him out. He did none of those things. Because for years, he fought smaller guys and he allowed himself to regress to a level of jab-grab-repeat robotic creature. His style has been ****yzed to death, its just that no one had the size and the sheer mental strength to deal with it.
Until Fury came along, a man too stupid to be intimidated, and too big to be pushed around.
