Ward wanted to go down to 160 for Floyd? Why not 164 for GGG? We can do this all day but its pointless.

Canelo uses 155 so he can have a large size advantage against other super welterweights. The guy has never fought a middleweight before. They have all be 154 pound guys made to sign at 155. But he himself is a middleweight. If he were to weigh in at 160 he would still come in at the same weight 172-175 on fight night. Which is heavier than most middleweights.

And how many times has Canelo fought at 160?

So if 155 is MW why doesn't GGG fight him at that weight? ?

Because he doesn't have to and shouldn't have to.

The better question is why should we allow a fighter to lower the weight limit to 155 in the first place? Why can't GGG come in where's he's comfortable at as long as it's in the MW range? That's the question you should be asking.

GGG has come in at 159 in his last fights Canelo is a small MW naturally a 154 so I don't see no reason why this fight shouldn't happen at a catch weight.

Uhm, because they are in the same division maybe.....??????

Also, don't say Canelo is naturally a 154 pounder. He failed to make that weight and hasn't made it in 2 years.

:admin Canelo/GGG is a mandatory fight for the middleweight championship belt.

Why is this even being discussed.... the middleweight weight limits are clearly defined.

    Stop all this nonsense...

Either defend the belt or have it stripped and given to GGG.

Canelo has 15 days after Nov 21st to make his decision.
Wouldn't expect to hear that Canelo is dropping the title and ducking his mandatory until Dec 7th
