I don't think so, I think the press were in shock and were more interested in Fury saying something controversial but if there is a rematch Fury will mention it. Wladimir will never get a psychological edge over Fury now in my opinion. Fury will rip Wladimir to pieces in the build up to a rematch, the gloves, the ring, the headbutt, the referee, the fact he was warned he would be drugged and he still won. I think Fury just has his number now.
So the going theory now is Wlad fights dirty when facing adversity? That's far fetched. Why didn't he headbutt Sanders, Brewster or Peter I?
In the former two cases Wlad had a panic attack instead. As has been addressed earlier, the adversity in Peter I never amounted to quite the same fever pitch it did in Sanders, Brewster, or Fury. Even when he got dropped nobody - including Wlad himself - was thinking he was apt to lose.
Heard about this, but couldn't catch it from a good angle during the live broadcast on Saturday. Both this and what Ortiz did are absolutely disgraceful. Holyfield used his head literally too, but never as blatantly obvious as these two examples. Anything involving an "intentional butt" is deplorable sportsmanship. No pun intended for the wise boxing fanatic who uses the handle on here.
I can't speak from the boxing side but in various times I've been in a competition with someone in life, it's one thing to lose or struggle with someone you know you're better than deep down (and can make yourself excuses) and getting totally outclassed and having to come to terms that you've met somebody who is superior to you, that's when it hurts your pride.
Either Wlad cannot execute a proper headbutt, or he was trying half-headbutt/half-left uppercut, or he was just fatigued and confused and had remote idea what he was doing.

No excuse for that specific cheap shot, but it's pretty whiny to erase all the classy things he has done as champion based on one intentional foul attempt in 68 pro fights. This isn't Tyson, Holyfield, or Golata where it's a proven repeated tactic or character flaw.
