look at bowe slipping the jab, parrying the jab, countering, working the body, throwing combinations outside and inside vs an big and talented fighter, who had great amateur career and beat bowe in amateurs.

and they say bowe didn't have a defense, i never saw klits or lewis slipping, parrying the jab

bowe with his rocket left hand smashing gonzales all over the ring. and wlad klitschko couldn't even stop fury coming forward with his jab

wlad klitschko couldn't even let his 1-2 against fury, looked clueless inside and grabbed like a bitc.h. bowe would smash him nad fury easily. big daddy!!

george foreman after the fight commented "all heavyweights, stay away for rid**** bowe (even lennox lewis)!"

I think Vitali Klitscko, Lennox Lewis and possibly even Wladimir Kltschko beats Rid**** Bowe.. And using Wlad's loss against Fury to bolster an argument for Bowe beating him is ridiculous. He was nearly 40 years old with almost 70 fights of mileage behind him and facing a man with a size advantage that Bowe wouldn't even have.. Jesus, does anyone even factor these things into the equation anymore?? Bowe was washed up and punch drunk by the age of 29 and with maybe 38 fights.

you'r a good poster, but i think you'r totally wrong about this.

rid**** bowe is technically better than lewis and the klits, see how he demolished gonzales, while lewis vs vitali looked so akward, like two uncoordinated big giants, bowe was so much more polished than they in applying pressure and putting punches together.

wlad would be **** scarless at bowe coming at him with that pressure and guts, he was getting his ass kicked inside by fury, bowe would have smashed him.

A 38 year old Tim Witherspoon and Michael Grant destroyed Gonzalez too.. Bowe had poor defense, took too many shots for his own good and was too inconsistently in and out of shape.. Good fighter and one who might have had success in today's picture against Povetkin, Fury and the diminished version of Wlad. But I don't see him beating the prime renditions of the fighters I listed before.

Bowe got two all-time poundings from the best super-heavyweight he faced. There's a reason why he was steered away from most of the big, dangerous heavies of his era in favour of bouts against cruiser-sized heavies.

wtf man, bowe ate all that holfield, cooper, hide and golota had to offer, and was never knocked out. he proved his chin and heart, unlike the klits and lewis.

"technically" relates to how good a fighter looks on PAPER but their are "intangibles" that relates to how a guy will really do in the ring. Bowe didn't have some of those "intangibles" but he gets a free ride for how he looked against specific fighters in specific fights,,,,

you cant rank a guy as being the best without considering those intangibles fairly, if Bowe was as good as you claim he would not have struggled with Golota the way he did. Look how Lewis did against Golota?

bowe had troubles motivating himself, he wasn't disciplined, he peaked 92 vs holyfield and the last time he was in shape and hungry was for the gonzales fight. eddie futch said that he worried if bowe does even care really about his career after he lost the second fight against holyfield.

look the gonzales fight and see how bowe had great boxing skills, and the guts to apply pressure in your face and break the bigger man, unlike the klits

compare this two fights and see how much better bowe looks than vitali or lewis. telephone pole jab, body punching, good defense - slipping and parrying, countering, putting his punches together inside and outside.

watching bowe is eye pleasing, vitali vs lewis looks like 2 big awkward giants

    This.

Bowe was nothing all that special.

His reputation is based on beating Holyfield, a man he had a huge weight advantage on and who played into his hands by forgetting that he was technically miles better than Ridd ick.

When he fought Coetzer he struggled to get him out of there, looked frankly quite ordinary and had to low-blow repeatedly to soften Pierre up for the kill.

I'd favour all of the "great" super heavies against him, frankly.

As would I, with the exception of Valuev, Grant, Briggs and guys like that.. I can't stand to think of him losing to those men. But Lennx, Wladimir and Vitali would have my vote to beat him.

Didn't exactly see a huge display of power in that Video. Bowe hit Gonzales cleanly repeatedly over a number of rounds before finally getting him out of there in the 6th.

And like others said, what is the point of comparing a 37 year old Lewis or a 39 year old Wlad to a prime Bowe. It's a pretty pathetic argument when you have to stoop that low to try and make a point.

Bowe had a good 20-30lb size advantage over three of those. Golota showed Bowe had lots of heart and could take a beating, but it still doesn't bode well for him against sane super-heavies.
