vitali vs lewis looks like an amateur fight compared to how bowe technically dismantled gonzales.

no shw have the tools to win against bowe, maybe lewis cause he's the strongest and the hardest puncher, and a better natural fighter than the klits, but bowe was more polished than any of them but the laziest

Riddlck Bowe was very good but Gonzalez was shlt as a pro. His best wins were vs. washed up versions of Renaldo Snipes KO10, Alex Stewart KO2, and Greg Page W10. He beat guys like Mike White KO4, K. Odum KO2, Mike Evans KO2, O. Alexander KO7, T. Toia KO2, and B. Scott KO2. He was crushed by Bowe LKOby6, Witherspoon LKOby5, Ross Puritty LKOby7 (yep, Puritty stopped him), Michael Grant LKOby1, Cliff Clouser, Joe Mesi, and others.

Bowe stopped T. Biggs but had some trouble with him prior to the stoppage. He beat Tubbs by decision but it was very close. He had a rough time with P. Coetzer and his low blows set up the shots that resulted in the stoppage. He had those 3 battles with Holyfield who he outweighed by as much as 30 Lbs. Solid wins over Donald, Hide, and Gonzlaez. He took two beatings from Golota but walked away with 2 DQ wins.

I think he would have beat Lewis in '93 but anytime after that I'd take Lewis.

    Klitschko's? IDK, it's a tough call.

Maybe that's because bowe wasn't in the ring with Vitali or Lewis..

I think Vitali and Lewis would beat the absolute sh it out of him. Like night under observation type beatings. Possibly Wlad and a young Foreman too.

He is the most overrated heavyweight fighter, in my opinion. Avoided the biggest and best fighters of his era, bad ring discipline, , sloppy defense, bad training habits, easily flustered, too often chose the wrong fight plan and ultimately fragile.

I'm not sure he would have even beat Ray Mercer in a pro ring.

Yep. As in, Golota without the nut shots.

A "young Foreman" would pulverize all of them.

he didn't fire on all cylinders for very long. That's why I don't rate him very high.

maybe that's cause vitali can't fight inside and doesn't know how to throv short hooks and uppercuts inside, let alone countering inside, and slipping punches?

lewis was a more complete fighter than vitali, but not quite as complete as bowe

Maybe its because Gonzalez was only made for 3 round fights with headgear :good

Lennox Lewis would have performed his MASTERPIECE vs Bowe,...and Bowe and his sleazy little ******* sidekick Rock Newman knew this.

I think it was more a case that he found his perfect foil stylewise, a guy who wasn't an elite heavyweight powerpuncher, a guy who himself chose to abandon a fight plan in preference for a brawl, and a guy who was fairly inconsistent.

Those were memorable fights, no doubt, but no necessarily indicative of an ability to beat any superheavyweight. In fact, he flourished to the extent he did because he wasn't facing a superheavy.

Peter and Sanders were some big guys. I'd count them as superheavy. 6'2/245 and 6'4/230 makes them bigger than almost any pre 1990 champ. Corrie is really close to Bowe in height and weight, granted he was lighter in the 90s.
