Forget about Fury. I don't like him either. :yep

Just focus on Wladimir's behavior. Regardless of to whom it was done, this was a totally classless act that stands at odds with the image Wlad has cultivated of being this consummate sportsman and bastion of grace.

Hey he had a bad day, we all do, it was probably all the pent up rage from having to listen to Hayden whine for the past year about her feelings.:verysad

She should file a restraining order. That's a frightful temper. Who know this monster's capable of, lurking behind that "polite & educated" sociopath's leer? :-(

    I'll be your rebound, Haydn!

    No! :tong

The world heavyweight champion should be held to a higher standard, I'm sorry.

...which is why I'm frankly dismayed that Fury now holds that position. BUT - he doesn't also market himself as this suave, charitable, sporting and sophisticated "Doctor" and role model.

I would volunteer too, but I don't think I'm all that dissimilar from Wlad:patsch:yep

But like Wlad I take out my frustrations by headbutting gypsies instead of my annoying girlfriend.:deal

How many had doctorates and had brothers in political office and comported themselves with the stiff bearing of royalty and gave off the impression of respectability the Klitschko brothers have worked so hard to nurture?

The hypocrisy of his behavior, moment of weakness or not, makes it all the worse.

A moment in which he premeditated his action, bent his knee, aimed his noggin, and launched himself with guided precision toward Fury's jaw. :think

It was a momentary lapse, no big deal, 1 IntentionalButt in his career and IntentionalButt wants to crucify him.:-(

I don't know why anybody is surprised. He's been a filthy sportsman for years.

One butt isn't worse than 12 rounds of pulling Povetkin around by the neck , shoving his elbow into his throat , pushing all his weight onto his spinal cord etc.

Just like for the butt , he hoisted himself into the air to get more weight onto Povetkin. And not just Povetkin - Pulev , Haye , Mormeck , Thompson , Peter , Brock as well.
He's hasn't boxed a fight without blatant outrageous fouling since the early 00's.

And it doesn't stop in the ring. Slave contracts , bogus gloves , 6 inch illegally padded canvases , corrupt ref's. Every thing that was possible to pull to cheat the opponent , he pulled. Karma is real . And he got dosed brutally with it last weekend.

It's unacceptable and should've gotten him a point deducted as if that would've mattered. But it's not uncommon at all. Here's Marciano doing it to Ezzard Charles and he portrayed himself as a great gentlemen outside the ring as well:

Let's not even start on Holyfield or Lewis- the Christian servant and the tea-drinking chess player and all their blatant fouls. Let's definitely not talk about Foreman and his and how they matched up with his persona. Wlad was garbage with Fury and his entire performance aside from the butt was garbage. Very disappointing, but not unusual with the foul among his great heavyweight peers. I'm still a fan of most of his career.

Yes. If that was his last fight that is his outbound & lasting impression on the boxing world. The Klits went out of their way to present themselves as clean cut role models for children, and in his swansong he pulls a stunt like that showing all the worst traits you could distill into a single action? (violating the spirit of competition, doing something cowardly and dangerous to make yourself better, acting impulsively and petulantly on impotent rage, etc.)

    Uh-uh. Screw you, Wladdy.

Difference is Rocky was kind of a cookie-cutter thug of a pug. Wlad is supposed to be erudite and saintlike.
