prime oscar lost to an old pernell, but he mops the floor with floyd , i guess that's why him and shane ducked him in the early 2000's.
I agree Whitaker wasn't prime and should have won but robbed is too strong a word. Robbed applies more to Whitaker's fights with Chavez and Ramirez I.
He was robbed. Whitaker CLEARLY won that fight. Just because the Chavez fight was a bigger robbery doesn't mean that he wasn't robbed. Oscar is overrated as hell.
Well it was kind of close and scoring is somewhat subjective. IMHO Whitaker should have won, but it's still close.
I don't think he went life and death, and 154 is his WORST division. He never weighed more than 150 for his fights there. Put Floyd in with 147 or 140 Oscar and De La Hoya gets embarrassed.
First time at 154 ands under all of Oscar's demands.. And he wasn't as shot as yall make him out to be...
Who was that one piece of **** that had the T to E ratio of an 127 year old man and then used an IV to clean out his system????
Does that T to E ratio make him more or less likely to beat Oscar's competition?? We get it you hate Floyd but the question the thread is how does he do against Oscar's competition.
No clue who youre talking about, But I know that Floyd took a NSAC and USADA approved IV before schooling #48 and has now retired at 49-0 and one of the best fighters to ever step in the ring:good
I believe that "piece of ****" was the pound for pound number one fighter and best of his generation.
I don't think Floyd would be able to deal with Quartey. He doesn't have the power to keep him off. Oscar's jab was bothering Floyd when they fought. Oscar just stopped jabbing for some reason. Quartey's jab is miles better than Oscar's, and it would be in Floyd's face all night. I don't think Floyd would beat Sweat Pea unless the judges were in Floyd's pockets. I think Floyd could peck away a decision on Trinidad. I don't think Floyd beats Prime Mosely though. He'd never fight Hopkins.
