    The problem here is 1 vs 3, which is what Wlad vs Chagaev was, does NOT qualify to fill a vacant LINEAL title. So no, Wlad didn't win anything off of Chagaev.

    Wlad vs Povetkin was #1 vs #2. That qualifies to fill a vacant LINEAL title.


    No, it didn't. The Lineal title became vacant when Lennox Lewis retired in 2003.


    NO HE DID NOT. That fight *wasn't* a contest between the two highest rated HWs. Therefore, the vacant Lineal title could not be claimed by the winner of that fight. Please remove your head from your ass them remove Klitschko's nutsack from your mouth.


    The Lineal title @ HW was vacant for over a decade...

    You can make a case for wlad not being lineal until he beat povetkin. Kind of.

    But now fury is lineal. However he is not yet undisputed.
