The apparently happily retired Cobra recently described GGG as a similar size to welterweight Amir Khan.

Speaking on rumours of a bout between the himself and Golovkin, the former IBF title holder claimed that the Kazakh's representative Tom Loeffler was reluctant to discuss the middleweight champion coming up in weight to super middleweight, let alone a catchweight of 170.

He also compared GGG in size to Amir Khan. What are you thoughts on the matter ESB? Are we asking too much of GGG to move up to 168? Is he really a 147-154lber fighting much higher than he could or perhaps should be?

Isn't Khan supposedly big for 147?

Do you think Khan could make 160? I have my doubts.

Maybe from the outside they look the same, but GGG is bred out of the Eurasian steppe types (Russian + Korean) reconstructs a an autosomal Kazakh not that far from an autosomal Mexican, except the absence of wheat in the diet of Neolithic Mexicans.

Golovkin and Khan are not even close. Dimensionally they're not far apart but weight? Eh...

If they weren't boxer's, and just your average Joe, we'd see them as almost the same. But in boxing, 10 lbs is huge.

I think Golovkin is naturally bigger.

I'm pretty sure Canelo is also naturally bigger than Khan. Doesn't he rehydrate to 170 lbs?

Amazes me how all of a sudden Froch is too big to make 168. The man is just an egotistical tit who is doubting himself regarding being able to beat Golovkin yet is missing the limelight so is continuing to mention GGG'S name to keep himself newsworthy.

    Lol exactly.

Froch only retired due to Chavez losing and he would have had to face Golovkin,Ward or Degale 2 imo would have beat him and the 3rd could have.

Froch has retired as some mythical beast who couldn't be defeated yet the truth is much different.

I do think it's plain to see that Froch has never really wanted it. I agree with mos posters that he is just posturing now for the attention.

Do I think Carl could still make 168 if he wanted to? Yes. He doesn't look dramatically overweight post retirement and I don't remember him ever really having any trouble making/complaining about having to make 168 beforehand.
