He defended those belts for 10 years and the best win on his record is David Haye. Dreadful opposition.
joshua is cut but nothing out of proportion muscle wise not got any bigger arms than many other heavy or bigger shoulders . stamina has not been tested granted , but we have to wait and see, possibly as soon as whyte next saturday ,who looks a decent tough fighter to me as to how joshuas stamina lasts. with modern day training ****ysis his trainers most probably already know his limitations. fighting relaxed and not loading up will conserve joshuas stamina, whether he can do that we will know in the next week or next year one way or the other.
I'm a Lewis fan. Lewis, at least, has wins on his resume over ATG fighters. Maybe not prime, but greats nonetheless. Wlad has no such thing. Absolute scrubs on his CV.
Yes total scrubs. Lewis has 1 win over a legitimate ATG who was still dangerous in Holyfield but he only just s****ed by. Povetkin is Wlads best big name imo and it would be top 3 for Lewis, Lewis was fortunate enough he got to fight Holyfield and the corpse of Tyson. If you truly believe Wlad has fought no one then you DKSAB!
Yes he does remind me of a young Frank .KO ing everyone in short order fine until he meets someone who takes him into the late rounds would prefer to see him at 16 stone ish would give him more stamina and would still have plenty of power all these muscles look the part but need oxygen to fuel them would prefer him looking like a young lewis or Holmes less weights more sparring.
Where was Wlad when Lennox destroyed Vitali? He went into hiding ROFL Ha it been vice versa Vitali would have been in the ring challenging Lennox Wlad was lucky that Lennox retired & Manny Steward took him on. Manny devised that brilliant strategy of Jab Hold like a limpet lean on opponent so he can get nowhere near Wlad's glass jaw. That and his size carried him through. When it came to fighting a crazy guy that was BIGGER than him & with no Manny to guide him Wlad was lost As for Lennox Lewis He is in my own personal opinion The best HW champ since Muhammad Ali
Its hard to tell at the moment. We will see when he fights people of better opposition. It is definetley a lot of muscle to carry around, but some guys are just able to do it. I hope Whyte takes him past 6 rounds so we can see if his lungs are any good.
At this stage AJ is like a young Bruno for me.We all know Bruno had power but gassed late in the later rounds of fights..How much was down to the muscle bulk or nervous energy i don't know. We all know you can have power and a good engine without looking like a body builder..( Sanders, power.Fury's engine to name a few). Theres a lot we have'nt seen from AJ yet.Not his fault at this stage. Stamina, chin and heart. If his chin, stamina and heart are average i think he'll do ok.At this stage he has power and speed, we know that.Time will tell.
Timothy Bradley weights like half Joshua  Next you're gonna compare welterweights speed with heavyweight speed? Because so many idiots already do those kind of comparisons between completely different weight classes, genuinely NOT understanding the differences between a 147 lbs and a 250 lbs fighter. :think Joshua isn't built to go rounds. IF he's able to go full 12, then he's the most gifted boxer ever stamina wise, because so far, only Wlad has had good/decent stamina carrying a similar muscle mass, and he was the absolute exception. Lewis was always gassed and threw like 3 punches at round, Bruno gassed, and there haven't been many other boxers with those kind of muscle masses.
Joshua seems to have all the tools. The unknown for me is how good his chin is. He doesnt need an Ali chin, he just cant have a David Price chin. Somewhere in the middle, he should be okay.
Yes we all know you luurve Lewis. Wlad just copied the Lewis blueprint of grabbing and leaning on the inside, it was common knowledge Lewis did this to smaller men. Just remember him all over Holyfields back in their first fight when Evan derby lifted him in the air. As for Wlad fighting Lewis and being lucky Lewis retired maybe but Lewis had unfinished business with Vitali and promised the rematch before retiring. But let's face it where was Lewis immediately rematch in McCall? Where was the rematch that should have been granted when he got lucky against Mercer? And where was the Vitali rematch? But this isn't a thread about Lewis or Wlad or Vitali so I will leave you with that.
