By your estimation then, how many rabbit punches did Bowe throw? (edit: I just remembered that you apparently don't consider rabbit punches to be dirty when they're thrown by the fighter you favor) How many blows below Golota's beltline? How many of Golota's low blows hit Bowe in the groin (as opposed to the leg or hip)? PS-- When's the last time you watched the fight?

Anybody who attempts to deflect blame from Goloto onto Bowe for those showings is a sick racist klan man and not worthy of anybodys time.

Hahahaha. Way to deflect instead of exposing your lack of knowledge. You should follow my lead and rewatch the fight some time with an open mind. :good

Dino's rude because he's got nothing to offer except for relentless hate and tunnel-vision akin to going around in life with straws stuck to his eye*****. He's been schooled on these boards so many times that he's become the pet running joke on BF24.

Golota undoubtedly was dirtier than Bowe in their fights. But Bowe did his fair share too, and considering how he'd fought other fighters prior to this, I for one am not shedding too many tears. He was lucky not to get warned himself. :deal

Bowe's best target was the back of Golota's neck :blood

Bowe is a strange case. He was probably the best big man with 'small man' skills. He could fight inside. He parried. He blocked. He could duck & jive. Hell of a fighter when on song.
Yet, got his ass kicked twice by Golota, who outjabbed him and out-thought him.

Look, Bowe could definitely fight. But as Seamus said earlier, was sloppy. No discipline.
I can envision him ripping Wlad's head off inside with uppercuts, but at the same time I can envision Wlad out-maneouvering him and bombing him with right hands, ditto Lewis and maybe Vitali.

Bowe looked awesome against a smaller Holy, but **** against Golota. what to make of this? It's hard to say. Bowe was an enigma is many ways. I think he was a natural fighter but a terrible thinker in there.

His chin, heart and instinctive fighting skills are beyond question, yet he was clearly beaten twice by Golota, who was hardly the model for consistency himself.

He struggled with a past-it Tubbs, the game but limited Coetzer and of course Holyfield. He was siginificantly bigger than all these guys too, and besides Gonzales, who struggled as a pro, who did he fight and beat decisively that could be termed a big heavyweight?

Wlad, Vitali and Lewis had better 'big man' skills, if you know what I mean. They knew how to use their physical assets on the outside better than Bowe did. Better ring movement, more cerebral approaches to the outside game.

That is not to write Bowe off at all, but ironically, he would maybe be best served on the inside against the big men than on the outside. I don't think his outside game was very good to be honest. On the inside though, where big men usually suffer, he was vicious.

Pretty much. I agree with this. Coetzer was really just a warm-up for the Holy fight, and Bowe got away with a lot of nasty stuff in this fight.

Bowe was better-by miles-than Coetzer, but this was not the 'gimme' people thought it was. Some of Bowe's weaknesses showed here.

yeah I second that, good post dude :good

I don't mind people saying that Bowe had great skills as it was so true,

I just have a problem with those that say he was the best of his time as that was never true.
