Yes he has some skills, but Joshua is on another level talent wise. Look at the bums he is knocking out over there, majority are knocked over quicker by other people. Even Dillain Whyte who isn't know as a huge puncher has stopped their common opponents Costa (Whyte in 1, Parker 4), Minto (Whyte in 4, Parker 7).

What's all the hype about? Just because NZ doesn't produce many good fighters? Europe = mecca of heavyweight boxing. Has Parker ever sparred a good fighter?

Minto had a full camp to fight Parker, he fought Whyte on short notice.

Why are so many British fans afraid of Parker?

Doesn't make any sense to me, I'm a huge joshua fan and would love to see them fight. Also a big parker fan, don't get why people on here are so obsessed with fighters from their own country, they're not boxing for a national team.

Agreed. I am from New Zealand, but would love to see both Joshua and Parker do well. Many think they are BOTH the future of the division.

    That makes for exciting times.

He's not overrated; he's just paying his dues working his way up.

Dillian Whyte was being outboxed by Minto and landed a KO punch, to a degree his win was a "puncher's chance" win. Parker's fight against Minto was quite some time ago, before he became the beast he is now and he was shutting Minto out in that fight you refer to.

Joshua is on no other level. Both are growing and doing what they need to. I get sick of reading NZers saying Parker will smash Joshua/Klitschko/Fury/etc when he NEEDS work but I'm just as sick as people from the UK saying anyone who isn't Joshua is overrated and using fights well from Parker's past as evidence when even that is basically Bri****ed when he hasn't actually lost a round in his career yet.

Maybe you guys from the UK should start asking their fighters who have been approached by Team Parker won't fight him if he's so harmless?

They are both fantastic prospects. 2016 will be a big year for both - and we look forward to the WAR when they do meet.

Oh yup Minto was outboxing him before the ko lol. Minto got saved by the bell in round 1 and stopped in round 3. He was getting beaten like a *****. Did you watch the fight?

I am from NZ and love Parker but Whyte is also a talent. He hits as hard as any and has a granite chin. Op forgot to mention he stopped Nasciemento much quicker as well. He walked him down with no issue and bullied him. Parker got his ear drum burst by nasciemento.

Im not saying he's better but there in the same league a long with AJ, top tier talent with potential but unproven. Whyte would be even better if he didnt get banned for two years for freaken jack3d.

Whyte is a slugger and Parker is more of a boxer puncher, that is the reason Whyte stops these guys quicker. Whyte is trying to take their heads off and Parker is trying to set them up. Different methods same outcomes

Overrated? The guy is still only coming up through the ranks. . Are you saying people are overrating him as a prospect? Don't think that is logical as he's shown a lot of potential and hasnt set a foot wrong thus far.

It will be good for all concerned if AJ gets a chin check.

We will all learn what he is made of.

    He's still a prospect, I wouldn't call him overrated.
