Do people actually think Lemieux has a better chin than Quillin? Why are ye all so protective of anyone Golovkin has fought? Quillin has a very solid chin. Lemieux has a very poor chin hence why he gets taken out against any decent opponent he fights.

It's quite likely he would. Golovkin is more methodical and is unlikely to have taken the risk of going for broke that Jacobs did. Jacobs saw his opportunity and seized it but it could very easily have bitten him on the ass if Quillin had been able to counter or if he'd managed to survive the onslaught and Danny had punched himself out.

For one thing GGG almost always opens slowly and rarely hits his stride until about the third stanza, and secondly GGG would not risk opening up so wildly - it just ain't how he goes about business - for all the come forward pressure he's actually quite conservative.

And despite last nights's result and the Lee KD I don't see any particular reason to think that Quillins chin is any worse than say Stevens', Lemieux's or Adama's. I'm not particularly a fan but Kid C is a solid fighter. In a way it's a kinda shame the fight went as it did cos we didn't really get to see how Jacobs would have shaped up against a decent opponent in terms of actual skills.

Fact is neither one is a champion at 160. They wont even deny that if asked. Both would be major underdogs against GGG. I was expecting to see more rounds and to see how good Jacobs really is. He is interesting opponent for GGG for sure but I just don´t see him being GGG´s hardest fight at 160. He should fight DL first..

we all know GGG likes to torture his opponents first then stop them when he feels they have had enough!

For sure he does. Rubio KOed him cause he was gassed out and was barely able to stay on his feet, it had nothing to do with his chin. Rosado was about to knock Quillin when the fight got stopped, he went down agaisnt Lee. Lemieux took a knee and ate a huge shot and he still didn't go down in the fight.
Now add that Quillin ducked Lemieux in 2014.

Now all of a sudden Quillin get stop in the 1st round but it has nothing to do with his suspect chin, its because Jacobs had that much power ? Yeah.

Nobody KO'ed Lemieux. He was never down before the Golovkin fight.

Quillin was hurt multiple times before and was dropped by Lee.

Most importantly he is a hero that will have a hard time landing a fight with GGG due to network, promotional situation. In a very similar way as Lara. They need heroes like that because the others get KOed eventually.

GGG would've punished him for much longer than one round.

That would not have been a positive for Quillin.

GGG doesn't do first round ko anymore because the networks have asked him to extend the fight a bit more as to get more viewers..so gennady just draws it out a bit longer these days..oh and I'm not joking..!

Kid Mocklate is a more fitting name.

A pale impression of the original. Kind of like mock turtle soup, and other cheap knockoffs.

It just shows Quillin does not have boxing IQ. Or maybe too much testosterone juice took him over...
