I just wish Maciel hasn't gotten screwed in the UK so he could've potentially upset Andrade (styles make fights) before what appears to have been the abrupt end of his prime shortly thereafter.
:-(You never tire of kissing slick American ass do you? The judges in America scorecards don't adequately reflect the true nature of the fight, Pirog was beating him with ease at the time of the stoppage. I bet you think Cintron beat Martinez too.:nut And his cancer diagnoses came almost a full year after the Pirog fight so stop making excuses.:-(
:deal Are you starting to see why Gramsey thinks STB is annoying. Maciel would have done a number on Andrade.
Andrade is the sort of guy - like Imam - that will appear to excel against pressure fighters provided they're of the slow, plodding, middling volume and wide-open-to-counters variety with his brand of slick out-boxing. Intelligent steady pressure, however, accompanied with a solid chin and stamina and moderate heavy-handedness will be his undoing, as I've maintained since he popped up on the radar years ago. :deal
I've never understood the hype and respect he gets. I'm perplexed by it to be honest, he beat Vanes, that's not all that impressive since Ouma kind of did too and was robbed. And he's beaten Brian Rose and Freddy Hernandez.....so what. The Andrade is being ducked hype I find ridiculous too.
For those missing Pirog..... Dmitry Mikhaylenko is the WW second coming of Pirog (not quite as good) and he also happens to be from Gelendzhik and named Dmitry.:deal
Sorry, I don't see that AT ALL Andrade is arguably the top 154lbs'er, absolutely top 5. Maciel just got beaten by Norbero Gonzalez. Its not comparable to Imam, who was considered a prospect and Granados who was a good fighter who had only been beaten by good fighters in close decisions
