The idea of this thread is to limit all lists to things which cannot (mostly) be disputed. For example, most title defences, most wins etc. By listing the top 10 of as many categories as possible and adding up the results, (10 pts for 1st, 9 for 2nd etc) we should be able to reach an undisputed ranking list.

TO start things out, i have stolen the following rankings from Lufcrazy's thread.

List 1 - Wins Against Top 10 Ranked Opposition
    1-----Joe Louis (50)
    2-----Muhammad Ali (43)
    3-----Jack Johnson (27)
    4-----Wladimir Klitschko (24)
    5-----Ezzard Charles (24)*
    6-----Larry Holmes (22)
    7-----Lennox Lewis (21)
    7-----Jack Dempsey (21)
    9-----Mike Tyson (17)
    9-----Evander Holyfield (17)
    9-----Jack Sharkey (17)
    12---Rocky Marciano (16)
    12---Sonny Liston (16)

*Charles--26-10 seemed wrong to me, so I counted his wins & losses up and came up with 24-16. I will use that.

List 2 - Best winning percentages (draws counted half-wins, half-losses)

    1-----Rocky Marciano (100%)
    2-----Joe Louis (94%)
    3-----Rid**** Bowe (93%)
    4-----Lennox Lewis (91%)
    5-----Muhammad Ali (90%)
    6-----Wladimir Klitschko (89%)
    7-----Sonny Liston (89%)
    8-----Vitali Klitschko (85%)
    9-----John L. Sullivan (83%)
    10---Jack Johnson (80%)

Which Leaves the Current score out of two criteria as:

    1. Joe Louis - 19
    2. Muhammed Ali - 15
    3. Wladimier Klitchsko - 12
    4. Lennox Lewis - 11
    5. Rocky Marciano - 10
    6. Jack Johnson - 9
    7. Rid**** Bowe - 8
    8. Ezzard Charles - 6
    9. Larry Holmes - 5
    10. Sonny Liston - 4
    10. Jack Dempsey - 4
    12. Vitali Klitchsko - 3
    13. John L Sullivan - 2
    13. Tyson - 2
    13. Holyfield -2
    13. Sharkey -2

So, anyone else with any other lists, feel free to add them. Ezzard Charles is the biggest surprise for me so far.

    Good idea.

It's hard to do title reign and defences because of the dispute about Wlad's reign.

    Some obvious surprizes here.

Jack Sharkey is seen in a completely new light, and Mike Tyson comes higher than we might expect, given his short prime.
