Every thread dealing with this fight has degenerated into hateful trolling. Could we please have a (relatively) mature discussion on how this will pan out - in the ring - on the night etc etc.

Not a waffle-fest about how they compare on some choreographed sky tv nonsense program, who wears the latest fashion, not what each said on twitter...etc etc

The standard of posting about this fight has been awful - every moron and his dog has been spouting about this fight. Its hard to tell which aspect of these posters is lower - their IQ or their boxing knowledge.

So :- "Ding" Round 1... how will it pan out? How will each approach the fight? Who wins, who loses and why?
That's if there is one decent poster left out there. I wait in hope......

I think CEJ will probably lose a couple of rounds but stop Spike late on. I hope Spike wins though.

I see this as a rerun of CEJs last fight. I think Gary takes a beating and British stoppage

Gary has done well to earn an undeserved pay day. Will fold within 3 rounds.

I don't particularly like or rate Eubank Jr, but I think he'll deal with good old Gary quite comfortably, who for me is domestic level at the very best. I'd like to see Eubank Jr in with Blackwell or Ryder after he fights Gary O'Sullivan, even though this is a "world" title eliminator, I wouldn't throw him in there quite so soon.

Who are you? You like to act the big man on here telling people you will come to their back yards, promising to take videos as evidence and then bottle it.

    Really sad.

And you like to get scared on phone calls saying ''that makes no sense'' in a camp voice

Keep this about the fight guys - we need another Tibbs/Solaris hate thread like a whole in the head.

Back to the fight, I think the athleticism of CEJ will be too much for Spike who in my opinion is little if anything more than a limited slugger. Eubank Jr. will have learned to pace himself better and knowing than he did against BJS and will pour it on early, forcing the ref to jump in around 5-6.

Gary's best hope during this is to land something big and capitalise but with Eubank's jaw looking solid - I can't see it happening for him. Realistically what can Spike do better than CEJ?

Are you suggesting Spike is chinny? Or CEJ is a huge puncher?

    Neither is true....

5-6 rounds? Bit ambitious there Sugar! Unless its a panicky ref - and/or a very "British" stoppage I cant see that happening....

Mind you Jr might 'con' the ref with a fast flurry of arm-flaps: his forte! Spike must be careful not to look too disorganised...give em no excuse to rob him.

I think this fight goes the distance with CEJ winning it something like 117-111

Well to answer your question literally - he hits harder.

He is also probably mentally tougher.

It's a Hearn card and I expect CEJ to make Spike look a bit like a caveman in there, swinging for the fences and missing wildly. This will leave him open to decent shots and a few of those coupled with a few arm shots and you will indeed see the ref jump in.

The majority of the board will then say he was being outclassed anyway so the premature stoppage had no influence on the result whilst spike fans claim he was planning to come on strong late. Either way, I think this will be the last time we discuss O'Sullivan stepping up to world level.

I wouldn't worry about it though Len, post Rio I think Ireland's about to enjoy a golden era boxing wise. Lots of talent coming through your amatuer ranks.
