The reason why Wlad couldn't throw punches was because of Furys movement, I'm sure someone must have explained this to you already. What did GGG do this year to be above those three? :think

Fury's one win over Wlad is better than Triple B's whole career.:deal

Oh sorry... you know when an event is so big it all gets confused in your mind. I forgot watching Golovkin triumph in the match-up of the millenium against the great Lemieux. :patsch

If all of the fans out there are going to try to be unbiased, then the only choice can be Chocolatito.

I am not a Fury fan but he clearly had the most significant win of the year. Gonzalez had the more quality wins but I think Fury will get it because his win over Klitschko made the heavyweight division relevant again.

:goodI like your logic and what you have to say, but I believe you answered it yourself when you said that Gonzalez had the more quality wins. I suppose it depends on the criteria of what Fighter of the Year is, i.e. the biggest noise or who accomplished the most. If the latter is true - as is my opinion- it's Chocolatito. Just for the record, I believe (as do you) that Fury's victory is great for the moribund heavyweight division.

Most significant ONE. Two very good wins trump one great one (and not even as great as it would've been a few years ago, taking green Jennings' recent success versus the declining Wlad into consideration)

..and who cares about making heavyweight relevant? Heavyweight always gets lavished with attention, historically. If anything getting the fly range on American national TV and forcing HBO to put bouts in that range on big cards as co-features is the much greater and more unprecedented accomplishment.

You've argued Fury over Mayweather, great. Now please address Chocolatito.

Nah. Bigger financially maybe but KTFO6 and two close runs with Bradley make it not the most significant. Mayweather earned more than he might have if he fought Pacquiao in 2010 but waiting meant it does less for his legacy.

I vote for that Granados kid that beat Amir Khan. A real life Rocky.
