Is Glazkov vs. Charles Martin the weakest heavyweight title fight in history?

This would be a decent final eliminator level fight.

Huh? All four of those fighters easily beat both Glazkov and Martin. All four had better resumes than Glass and Martin.

Charles Martin is 22-0 (KO 20) if Glazkov beats him

Fair path to the IBF :good

Charles Martin at this point is a more dangerous opponent than Wlad, we don't know how good Martin is, but we Wlad at this point is done mentally more than physically...The Beat down Fury put on him was psychologically damaging to Wlad & his prestige as a contender

Maskaev would beat both Glaskov and Martin. There are plenty of title fights where the challenger is worse than either of these fighters. But every fight I can think of features at least one HW who was better than both of these guys. The worst, most absurd title fight in history. IBF and Duva should be ashamed of themselves.

Yep. I meant it in terms of 'excitement' only.

Martin's best win is Joey Dawejko.

Glazkov's - robbery over Cunningham or tough win over shot Adamek.

Arreola vs Stiverne 2 was bad though it was a good fight

Charles vs Breazle would be a good launchpad and I think he would have knocked him cold

Agreed. Like the fight, don't like that it's for a belt. Good for the fighters, it's not their fault it's like this.

I doubt Chagaev vrs Drummond or Arreola vrs Stiverne are much better. Hell, Herbie Hide once held a heavyweight title--no doubt he fought alot of bums before facing Vitali.

They're both technically undefeated and Glazkov was a decorated amateur.
