    * UK Media not getting behind him
    * IBF stripping him
    * Boxing "experts" explaining his win by Wlad's old age, not with anything Fury has done

    I hope this will change a bit if he wins the rematch.

    He's not getting respect because he won in an unexciting fashion and in today's society his image is very disreputable.

    He's getting plenty of respect from me atleast I've been a Fury fan ever since he beat Cunningham I think he's great for the sport and is here to stay.

    It's doubtful he'll ever be a popular and well liked champion. He's too outspoken, too unpredictable and has some very unpopular beliefs to ever come over warmly to the British public.

    I haven't seen him give a proper interview on a chat show, or the news etc after winning the title like most new champions. That's because nobody would dare stick him on the air as they can't predict what he would say or who he would offend. He's either going to have to become more media savvy or just accept he will never be as media friendly as other British fighters like Hatton, Haye or AJ and therefore less popular among casual fans.

    He's not getting any respect because he's an idiot and has no class.

    He says women belong in the kitchen or on their backs. He's made ****phobic comments. He's slagged off some of britains top athletes. Went on a 2 year rant at Lennox, apologised to him, then 2 days later he's talking rubbish again. Told a journalist that printed his comments word for word that he had been misquoted and then threatened to get people to bash his head in. Add all that to the fact he acts like a 7 year old with some form of social disorder and it ends up with him being disliked by a lot of people.

    Maybe he'd be more accepted by the British public and press if he smashed a bottle off Chisora's head and compared his fights to a woman being 'gang raped'

    Maybe then he'd be invited onto the celebrity TV circuit.

    Do you really think haye is loved by the British public or that people celebrated those comments?...

    Gets what he deserves. Can't wait till another sanctioning body strips him of a title and he then gets beat in the Wlad rematch or by Joshua.

    He's being talked about. In todays media driven world that is the ultimate respect.

    The media certainly LOVED haye! I don't know about the pubilc, but christ every dumbass journalist was after Haye and never dared to criticize him. With Fury they seem very critical, considering his outstanding accomplishment!

    'Was' is the key word there, then he made a fool of himself and made some stupid remarks. Fury has just managed to make himself hated a lot quicker than haye.

    "Hate" pays well. Just ask Mayweather.

    Yeah it's a proven method of generating money, a lot easier to be hated than loved. I don't believe fury is putting this on though, he's not that clever.
