So Holyfield easily won their ffight, but Foreman put in a lot of effort. What nobody seems to remember is that by round 15 Holyfield was holding on for dear life and looked like he was about to be fully drained.

Could he last 3 more rounds? I say no.

Stop trying to rewrite history, its embarrassing. Holyfield was stunned a few times in that fight, but no were close to being "drained" as you claim. Besides, Holyfield was never known for having endurance problem.

I think its a little hard to rewrite history. Considering that this part of history is actually recorded, and I was able to watch it right now, on youtube. So I think maybe you are rewriting it.

round 12, foreman is fresher. Holyfield looks tired, and he holds for the last 10 seconds thanking god it was a 12 rounder.

If you can prove to me that Holyfield looks fresher than George in round 12 and looks ready to go 3 more rounds I will delete my account right now.

Well the stamina issue that plagued him is because of the steroids he took via BALCO that likely led to the hole in his heart that was found after the Moorer fight

I forget which rd it was 3-5. Foreman maneuvers Holyfield towards the ropesthrows a huge right cross that barely falls short and a monstrous left uppercut just misses its mark and grazes Holyfield. Age clearly had an effect on his timing but if those land, do we have a new champion?

Stop trying to discredit Holyfields career, if he was on some type of PED, I'm sure everybody else was also!

Plus, even with steroids it's still hard work and Holyfield did work hard in every fight.

Holyfield is and should always be recognized as a stud!

Round 15? I watched the ppv live, was there 3 extra rounds after Holyfield won unanimously?

Evander did win a very competitive fight against Grandady George.

I would give him very little chance against 1972 George.

Is a post fight interview a while later Foreman mentioned making a mistake of using the crab defense instead of using a normal guard which caused him to be slow on his punches and was a mistake, said he needed to be quicker on the punch with the smaller Holyfield and was talking about wanting a rematch very badly. Saw the video on youtube, they were reviewing the fight with both Holyfield and Foreman. Was pretty dang interesting, maybe it would have been a been different if Foreman has used a normal guard rather than the crab defense.

I think it would have been a lot more competitive in a rematch, I still doubt Foreman could have won but it would have been interesting

I believe he'd make it, Holy didn't respect old George Foreman and almost gotembarrassed because Foreman really does hit like a truck. For relatively long periods Holyfield was in a state of stun, He stopped punching is the only indication that you can tell he was stunned. Every time Holyfield thought there was a legit chance he'd get knocked out he followed a strict gameplan like against Mike Tyson or Bowe the second time. If he avoids going to war against young Foreman I think the fight is very competitive. Holyfield beats the old version easier if they rematched, he took punches he didn't have to take. I mean, Tommy Morrison beat old Foreman rather easy.

I do know one thing, Foreman believes he could beat Holyfield, his commentating most of the time seemed to hate on him. He was obsessed with telilng folks he knows when Holyfield was hurt.
