I don't understand the hype this fight has gotten. Whyte had a decent amateur career, but his main claim to fame was beating a green Joshua in the ams. Hasn't really distinguished himself at all in the pros. Kingpin was a bigger test to Joshua imo, this is basically a step back. Hopefully he fights an actual top 20 contender after he destroys Whyte.
You gotta be kidding, prime king pin couldnt beat Whyte let alone the shell of king pin. The only reason Whyte hasn't risen higher is because of his two year ban. Ffs 16-0 with 14ko's is pretty bloody decent any way. Aj has got most of these blokes mentally beat before they enter the ring,it seems to be pretty hard to not believe the hype i suppose. Half the world seem to think this guy beats any man alive and he hasnt even beaten a contender yet.
Have you lot seen the odds for this fight? If you think Whyte has a genuine chance then you can make some money. Whyte is 87/10 to win. (Bet £10 and win £87). Joshua is 1/11. (Bet £11 to win £1.) Those sorts of prices are ridiculous for this fight.... aren't they?
AJ will beat him like he was his daddy. They are on 2 different levels now...this is not the same AJ with 3 amateur fights....
Excactly i live in the States cant wait for this to happen. Anytime 2 undefeated heavyweights fight, and in a grudge match type fight...its gonna be either a great fight or a one way beating until is over. Its gonna go a few rounds
WHyte can actually jab - and may make a long contest of it. But really he is a banger - with heavy hands. I'm hoping for an all-out WAR. And I think it is 50/50 who wins. -Kiwi
yeah not the sharpest boxing IQs around here remember the hype for Henry Tillman vs Mike Tyson? all they talked about was him beating tyson in the Olympic trials twice. not once but "twice" :rofl Tyson was 17 getting ready to turn 18
