    Whose ratings are you using?

They were all in the WBC ratings when he fought them. Spzilka is currently rated #8 by the WBC, #7 by the IBF (and they don't rank anyone #2, so only five names ahead of him), and #12 by the WBO.

If you look at the records of Eric Molina (23-2), Johann Duhaupas (32-2) and Artur Spzilka (20-1) ... and you compare them to Larry Holmes' first three challengers ... Alfredo Evangelista (23-2-1), Ossie Ocasio (13-0) and Mike Weaver (18 and eight) ... there isn't much difference.

Wilder's opponents might even be better overall going in to the title fights.

ABC didn't want to air Holmes- Ocasio because they thought it was such a mismatch and the Norton-Shavers fight had to be added to get them to take it.

And even though the Duran-Palomino fight was added to the Holmes-Weaver card, no network would take the fight (Weaver was considered such a no-hoper). HBO, which was still airing square dancing as part of its programming, picked up the fight for peanuts.

Spzilka is expected to test Wilder's chin. Molina and Duhaupas also fought well against Wilder.

Only Weaver (out of his first three) gave Holmes problems. As soon as the cruiserweight division became a viable option, Ocasio bolted there.

True but with his speed and athleticism there's a good chance he lands first against those slow giants, he does carry dynamite in that right hand of his.
