Liston had more knock outs than Lewis. I see you ignored my points above with people saying he hit harder than Foreman.
Wow, you're literally so ridiculous you can't even follow your own bias. You said and I quote "Do Lewis and Liston share mutual opponents that can verify who's more powerful? Are there any sparring stories from fighters that faced both men?" Yes there is. Lewis and old Foreman, and Peak Foreman and Liston. You literally just said, sparring stories would verify who's stronger. So now, that I find evidence you "couldn't give a rats ass." Your reasoning for all this is clearly biased. What's worse is, it's so messed up, you can't even follow your own bias.
Foreman is not Liston ,your comparison is irrelevant. Tocco was never hit by any of those three. Nor did he train them, he owned the gym they SOMETIMES trained in.
That's because it wasn't me who asked that question. So quote away, and then while you're at it, look at the poster who you're quoting from, cause it wasn't me.
You have about 5-6 posters on this thread of which, 4-5 are saying Lewis hits as hard as Liston, and you're the only one who disagrees. Doesn't that tell you something?
How is it irrelevant? I'm comparing what common opponents of PEAK Foreman and Liston said, to what common opponents of OLD Foreman and Lewis said. To put it simply, peak Foreman hit harder than Old Foreman. common opponents of peak Foreman and Sonny Liston said Liston hit harder. So based on what they said, and the fact that old Foreman didn't hit nearly as hard as peak Foreman. Liston>Peak Foreman>Old Foreman Common opponents of Old Foreman and Lewis said Foreman hit harder so, Old Foreman>Lewis. Combine them and you'll see Liston>Peak Foreman>Old Foreman>Lewis. Now do you get it man? :good
If five or six posters said 1+1 is three, and I'm the only one who disagrees, does that tell me something?
What 4-5 posters said Lewis hit as hard as Liston? Now you're simply just making stuff up. Nobody here disagreed with my ****ysis that Liston had more power.
Read posts, #144 (Pugilist_Spec, 129 (McVey), 115 Turpinr, 111 HookfromHell, and about a dozen of mine. And as those to took Lewis to beat Liston, power comparison not mentioned. Power Puncher #18, Magoo #4, Berlenback #9, Brighton Bomber #15, Perry #108
McVey said they're in the same class. I didn't really see anyone else say that besides you and pugilist. I could be wrong through.
I also said they were in the same class, it's you who said Liston is two classes above Lewis. I don't know who hits harder between the two, but it's not a huge difference either way. It was YOU who implied there was a huge power difference between the two in favor of Liston. (post #117)
I still stand by it. Go see post #121 where you acknowledged the fact that you said Lewis hit harder.
You're wrong again because the post you referred to is copied above. I said that Lewis is up there with the Tyson's, Foreman's and Liston's of the sport. I NEVER said he punches harder than Liston, only that they were comparable. Seems like only one of us is reasonable regarding this topic and it's not you.
