Why does everybody think canelo wants to duck GGG? I really don't get this.canelo has no history of ducking. Canelo is one of the few fighters that ducks nobody. Can somebody tell me who canelo has ducked before. Canelo will want this fight. I'm very optimistic that this fight will happen.

People just hate how big of a superstar Canelo has become. It's popular to hate the favorite. Canelo will definitely fight GGG on his own terms and shock the world.

Of course people will always have something funny to say.

Because It's very hard to see him beat GGG and It's very easy to see De la Hoya is not gonna be willing to throw his cash cow into the lion's den.

GGG will no doubt be a heavy favourite. But canelo will be the first A level fighter GGG would have fought. So nobody can be 100% ggg will blow canelo away. We dont know how ggg will get on with that level of opponent. Plus GGG is yet to go 12 rounds with a fighter who can hit him back.he went 11 with Murray but Murray was just surviving tbh. He didn't trouble GGG. And GGG sometimes can seem easy to hit so canelo will definately be landing some big counters and canelo seems to have a pretty good defence. So how will gggs stamina be if he is taking some heavy shots from canelo?? Nobody knows. It is possible GGG will land a big one and blow canelo away. But no way is it a certainty. But I was saying that why do people think canelo will duck?? Canelo has never shown any signs of ducking anyone. Hes a rare breed of boxer who actually wants to make the biggest fights. And people who KSAB also thought klitchko would blow fury away.

It seems to me that since de la hoya took full control of goldenboy that he is well prepared to make the best fights. He just put his 2 best fighters in 50/50 fights.(lemieux and canelo). So he definitely is prepared to take risks.

GGG is definitely a big favourite. But canelo definitely has a chance. like I said in a previous post above GGG hasn't been tested at this level yet. He is entering unchartered waters. So however a big favourite Ggg is its not a foregone conclusion.

Honestly, I don't see why not. It'd be a huge fight, they can even have a rematch or something.. And it's not like Canelo hasn't lost before. I think it makes sense personally, then again I'm not a specialist.

Canelo isn't scared, though asking for a 155 CW doesn't scream confidence... it's more-so Oscar being absolutely terrified of letting Canelo in the ring with him and that's where the problem is.

Because he is allegedly the Middleweight champion but refuses to fight GGG at anything but a catch weight! This from a guy who regularly comes in at excess of 170 lbs.

The short answer is because he is ducking him.

It's mainly due to the noises coming out of his camp. "We're comfortable at 155". "Gennady is my friend but if we fight it will have to be at my weight". This basically insinuates that they are going to try to make ridiculous and unreasonable demands over weight designed to load the dice in his favour (middleweight title bouts should be between two middleweights at the 160lb limit - end of). Which in turn is quite likely to mean that the fight ends up never happening. Which can be argued as not being a duck, but amounts to the same thing. If he isn't willing to fight middleweights at middleweight then he needs to stop pretending to be a middleweight champ, leave the big boys to fight for the belt and go back to 154.

Because GGG already schooled Canelo in sparring and he's become a lot better since then. It's crystal clear to anybody with common sense that Golovkin will pound the ginger out of Canelo, and that's why they are trying to drain him to death with their 155 lb weight demand.

That said, I will give Canelo his props, he has cleaned out the 155 division and is looking for fresh meat, dead or sort-of alive. :p

and he lost every round. GGG would savagely KO him.
