Always said it, but because he beat some c-level jeremy kyle fodder named Coyle people were all over his ***** saying he was ready to take Dejan Zlaticanin's head off. He got exposed tonight as a limited one dimensional feather fisted white amir khan fraud against some onion Johnny Shame on his fanboys. Callum Smith is Next.
He's not a bum, but as I posted on another thread: I'm British and support Brits whose styles I like and respect but so many average guys get touted as huge prospects without really doing anything then get exposed. You can see it happening a mile off! It's not their fault it's the fans I get annoyed with.
People wouldn't be hyped about these guys if they didn't have them shoved down their throats by Sky who are always too quick on the hype machine.
True, it's probably all part of what irritates me about it all, the sheep mentality. No disrespect to Campbell, he's a good fighter but overrated as all Brits are, there's a frenzy every time a Brit wins more than 5 fights in a row and it's so ****ing irritating.
They probably felt it was justified with Luke given his incredible amateur pedigree but that's all it was; amateur pedigree. Luke Campbell isn't really a "fighter", and he's not even that good a boxer. He's solid and good, and has a lot to improve on.
Honest question. When was the last time you gave any boxer credit? All I ever see you do is slag someone off. Campbell is not a bum. He's likely not going to be a world level pro but that doesn't make him a bum. Overhyped, yes.
Ok he's a fraud. I give loads of boxers credit. Look through my history, I give props to fighters who are the real deal. Not ****ign frauds GGG, Kovalev, Bradley, Parker, Degale, Fury, Klitsckho, Parker, Garcia, etc. I give credit to those who earn credit.
That's fine but calling everyone who is hyped up and then loses a bum is a bit harsh imo. Perhaps Campbell will come and prove us wrong but I don't see him making it past Euro level on the strength of that performance.
