Disappointed to see so many posts slating Spike. Was a quality s**** and I wanted it to carry on. Also want to see Eubank progress but get his chin tested

    However

Spike dragged him into his fight. Maybe Eubank was being too macho but he could've made it easier.

Spike took a lot of shots. More than a lot of other fighters

His corner pulls him out. Some fighters are too tough for there own good.

Eubank proved a level above but some of the criticism of spike is unwarranted.

He didn't even protest! had no obvious injuries, he wasn't in any great danger. If you box you should go in with the mindset that you are prepared to die in the ring, he went in not even prepared to get busted up. Pathetic. Absolutely spineless. No respect for anyone that quits like that.

I get that, that was my only disappointment. Wanted him to carry on. Just don't think worthy of being slated

If he wanted to quit he could've gone down or took a knee

His corner pulled him out, he didn't quit.
He just didn't argue with it as he was starting to get beat senseless. I'd rather a nice decent guy like him live to fight another day than end up in a coma.
I have no respect for idiots who question fighters bravery in the ring. Until you're in there, you're just some nobody sat at a PC who has achieved nothing compared to what they do.

I've fought and taking more beatings than anybody. He was delighted they'd pulled him out.

He has a wife and children. More important things in life than taking a needless beating on the off chance of getting a knock out punch.

Plenty of appreciation for boxers, no respect for quitters, particularly when they aren't that badly hurt like Spike was.

The TS seems to be Spike's personal willy warmer.

Spike quit...and after giving his opponent dogs abuse via social media etc for God knows how long!

Spike acted like Conor fkn McGregor leading up to this fight..then threw his own towel in!!

Spike embarrassed himself and he knows it (hence the post fight tears). If Spike had not made his mouth go so much, with all sorts of boats, threats promises etc, then no-one would have said too much, but this is one of those incredibly rare occasions whereby a boxer, through his own actions (pre-fight) and behaviour during the bout guarantees a degree of ridicule!

    :deal

Especially big mouthed ******s who have spent years bragging as to what they were going to do to the guy who made them quit!!

Even Spike's staunchest supports probably cannot believe how he got beat.

If Eubank had done as Spike did, we would have been forced to read yet more of your Xenophobic drivel!! but since it was your boy who threw his own towel in, you retreat to the old "no appreciation for the sport (etc)".

You are full of sh!t, Len..just like Spike!! ........

But, I will agree that you aint no quitter.

This. I'm afraid the rights and wrongs of the corner stopping things don't really matter. The fact is he 'didn't take his beating'. I use the phrase advisedly, because he was certainly beaten up tonight. The guy ran his mouth and did not go out on his shield. Clearly we don't want to see anyone hurt, but why pretend this stuff doesn't matter? It's precisely meatpoles like 'Spike' who make such a big play out of being 'fighting men' (yawn). Well, not tonight, not in the end.

There's something a bit unlikeable about all that Collins camp, and in part (for me) it's partly to do with this sense they all seem to have that they are 'genuine fighting men' and all the rest of it.... The end of this fight just seems at odds with all the talk.

Far from it. I expected and wanted Eubank to win, just don't think anyone who gets in the ring can be described as gutless.

I didn't like the trash he was talking before hand but that was forgotten when he was open and said the better man won

He quit because things were not his way.
    Pathetic!
