When Povetkin defends his WBC title late 2016, he will have an easy night with Joshua. Stiff, no head movement, no speed, a glass jaw.

AJ is getting a retirement beating in this fight, bank on it :deal:deal:deal

Well why not, you've been right about everything else. Wlad destroyed Fury, Stiverne destroyed Wilder.........

Oh wait that's right, none of those happened.

Povetkin is by far more overrated here than any other fighter I've seen rated anywhere. And its not even close.

He is still up and coming and mugs on here are trying to pair him with seasoned pros.

He is much better than Euro level but has a lot to learn for world, which is no more than you can expect from a 15 pro fighter.

He's not ready at all for Povetkin yet, but he'll get there.

I doubt Joshua goes for the WBC route if that belt ends up with Povetkin, while Fury remains champion.

Certainly would not be favourite vs Povetkin on tonight's display, the very bad second round and tank issues.

Povetkin is getting up there in years. People forget that. The last guy he beat was an immobile punching bag.

Even if he manages to get past Wilder, looks like he'd go for unification first anyway. Doubt the fight will even happen.

Show me you bet and won money on either of those fights and I'll shut my mouth(at least around you) regarding Wilder from now on.

Joshua will have an eliminator next year, either WBC or IBF. If Povetkin beats Wilder, unification might not be easy to make right away. He might have to have a mandatory defence. But Hearns will probably prefer Joshua to go for the easier IBF route.
