Would like to see Mitchell retire gutted for him on the May show that was his chance to get a World Title

It's over for Mitchell, he was basically stopped with a solid jab.

It has caught up with him, the wild lifestyle in his early years, the other tough fights and beatings.

It's sad because he was such a promising young talent but that was his last chance.

    Called it

Mitchell is a good boxer but he's just way too chinny. One of the worst chins in boxing.

To be fair Barroso brings a lot to the table that will probably be shown in his subsequent fights that you don't want to use him as a tuneup

Mitchell beats a 38-9-2 Derry Mathews so no rush to hang up his gloves in my opinion. Many fighters have had far easier world title matchups.

Such a shame, He gave Linares such a good fight back in May.

If Hearn wants to cut a fighter I'd imagine Mitchell would be top of the list. It's not like Frank would take him back. I don't think in that division he can succeed to World honours sadly.

    he's been matched tough.

If he'd been given Crolla's opponents, he could've been a world champion. I think Mitchell would've beat Perez too.

I'd would like to see how Crolla would've got on with Katsidis, Burns, Linares and Barroso!

Mitchell's had some great nights, I'll never forget his win over John Murray - one of my all time favourite fights. But he should probably hang them up now. I don't want to see him take a beating too many.

Spot on. It's a joke really. I think it comes down to Sims being the trainer for Joshua as well. Mitchell and Joshua will always be on the same London card, and it's too much hard work for Sims to be preparing 2 guys for 2 massive fights. So Mitchell, will always get the short straw as he isn't Hearn's golden chicken.

The Crolla fight story about him being a comeback hero sold the fight. Campbell will always get easier fights as well being an Olympic champion. I'd like to see Mitchell fight Flanagan, he would really have a great chance in that fight, but Eddie won't take the risk of working with ******.
