I've called him a hypejob and a ufc creation on this site, and to a certain extent he deserved some of that criticism coming up but he just blew out arguably the best UFC fighter of all time in 10 seconds flat. A one punch KO as clean as theres ever been one. That has to be respected, so congrats to Connor Mcgregor the new UFC FW champ.

Likewise. You can't criticize that ****. It was clean, precise, skillful. Totally anticlimactice but he gets props for doing to Aldo what nobody else has. I'd of liked to see the fight play out a bit to see how each guy dealt with the other, but it wasn't in the cards. McGregor should be champ as long as he can make the weight. He does seem to have some skill, and his height and reach advantages will probably be too much. I like Edgar, but he is smaller than Aldo. Not sure how he will negotiate that distance.
And he will probably be made a cabin boy again when he moves up to lightweight, where you have rugged guys like Dos Anjos, and Cerrone, Henderson, Pettis, etc.. But until then, the striking skills he does have, paired with his height and reach should be too much for the small in stature guys at his weight class. He seems fairly accurate, and has some speed. It will be interesting to see Edgar trying to get inside.
Uh landing one punch on a guy who hasnt fought in 15 months is not a blow out. More of the case of Aldo losing a step + ring rust. BTW Aldo still landed after being KTFO. Imagine if Mcphaggot used his face to block punches against guys his own size. Mcphaggot looks like a zombie at weigh ins.
