He hasn't fought anyone to remotely give you that thought. Hell Whyte isn't even top 5 British let alone world championship. Joshua is a prospect but he's borderline top 10/12 atm.
Even still, Big George was a broad and strong 6'3 clubber. Muh stronger than Joshua imo (apples and oranges as they fight different etc). I disagree he will need head movement, its an important tool for a defense and will need to incorporate this into his strategy, now isnt the time to get carried away with his power, he doesnt react to getting hit very well at all and he is in far too deep now, you just cant eradicate some of these finer things from someones mental makeup. His size will help him but means nothing when in with the right opponent. Wilder would beat him and so would povetkin, How would you see him against someone like wach and duhaupas?
As much as I like Fury and Wilder. Joshua is the new king in the division. The thing that sucks for Joshua is this is shaping up to be the best division since the 90s. If Joshua had the division that Wlad had, he would win the heavyweight championship tomorrow. Wlad was one of the worst hw champs in history. Joshua will bring back the glory days. Excellent performance for a fighter with only 15 fights against a very capable opponent that would probably knock out Pulev and Povetkin within 5 rounds.
People think fighters are just born ready to fight world level, joshua is still growing and learning, this is the fight he needed, Its how he grows and learns from each fight that counts.
I think he would kill Wach. Wach is way too easy to hit. Duhaupas, however would be good challenge and would show even more about Joshua's abilities. Anytime Whyte could make a move forward it seemed Joshua was in trouble handling the distance. Duhaupas's style could be an issue to Joshua. Problem for Duhaupas is, that doesn't have a punch like Whyte has so I don't think it would be easy for him to get Joshua's respect and if that be the case it would be short fight no matter how durable Duhaupas is. Joshua's power is so enormously scary scary. Anyway, Duhaupas would be very interesting opponent and another good test at this stage, for sure.
I don't agree with people saying this is becoming a great era. This is a competive era because no fighters stand out as being much better than the others. None are amazing, put it that way. Comparing it to the 90s is stupid, that era was full of talents.
Surprised people are suggesting Price. Seems a pointless fight to me. AJ wins it by KO and proves nothing in the process - Dillian Whyte is above Price's level now, IMO.
Price is a terrible shoutout. AJ will learn nothing from that fight, he needs to fight someone who can take a punch to get rounds.
