The ring was stinking after they left.

Lets hope the board and the police get to the bottom of this.

Lol... you'd think if someone was gonna fix a fight by losing in a particular round they'd choose a simple KO. Spike was being caught by enough shots to go down and take the 10 count, rather than standing in the ring and talking with his trainer before throwing in the towel. So the convo must've gone like this:

    Spike: 'Let's fix the fight'
Pascal: 'Ok, what do you suggest?'
Spike: 'At the end of the seventh let's have a chat and draw attention to ourselves in the process'
Pascal: 'Quit on your feet, won't that look a bit sus? Why not just fake a KO?'
Spike: 'No, I want to give conspiracy theorists with no evidence the chance to make a name from themselves on boxing forums'
Pascal: 'You betting on that too?
Spike: 'Aye, it's a sure thing.'

And, of course, they'd also tell their friends about their plans, especially the really indiscreet ones who'll blab within 24 hours...

Ok, what was Spikes purse for last night? and what would have gained from a win?

And let's say he won, the fame, glory and bragging rights were his and he would have had a world title shot.

Even a return with Jr would have generated a very good purse but instead he takes the short end and a torrent of abuse for quitting and now has not many places to go.

I do not see the logic personally, Spike would have had far more to gain financially and personally by winning than having a bet on himself to lose.

Also betting patterns and any large bets on an outsider are scrutinised, they have teams of people watching out for these types of things, rival bookmakers will alert each other to such bets.

And remember bookmakers are not legally obliged to pay out, it's basically a gentlemans agreements, they can refuse to pay you and somebody on here is hearing those rumours (if they are genuine and not just Twitter talk) then you can be sure bookmakers all over the country have heard the same.

Sorry, I'm just not having any of that.

What a strange world it is where you can't write a certain name on here for fear of legals, yet you can start a thread accusing two high-profile boxers of corruption.
