You don't like a guy with a winners mentality basically. Says a lot about you. That's why you dislike him. Because he's defiant in not being defined by loss, whereas you are.
What do you mean "winner's mentality"? I like guys who can back up their bragging, and Khan isn't one of them.
because he is not doing the right thing by climbing the ladder before fighting the top guys. he has no belt and is just using his skills as leverage to get a top money fight without passing thru the gate keepers first before the champions. he s making boxing pure business sport disregarding traditional rules.
Bradley rejected a fight with Khan. Don't forget that. 'before he got his shot a PAC and Algieri got a victory over Ruslan that nobody thought he would'. - Yes, and Khan went on to beat Algieri in a fight where he gives away his height and overall ring coverage advantages, who was not an easy fight. Alexander was a good fighter and always beat the big punchers of the division. Khan also fought certain opposition because he had switched trainers and had to adapt to Virgil of all people's methods.
He's wasting his prime with this nonsense, that's what. He must know as well as I do that you can't force Mayweather and Pacquaio to fight you, they fight whoever they want, whenever they want. He should be rematching Garcia instead of this nonsense. And I'd favour him in the rematch
I like guys who talk a big fight and then back it up. GUys like Mayweather, eubank, Lewis, Fury now,and Khan talks but then gets knocked out cold. He's not a bad boxer, but his chin will always let him down in the end.
Khan has been learning and that is completely evident. If Khan gets hit and wobbles, you would deem him a bad student of the game because it's Khan. What can you expect from the brain of a boxer who has done everything they can of their own accord, and need to learn to think in different ways? He can only try, and he clearly has ADHD which makes it just that bit tougher for him. He didn't intentionally mean to run that guy over. It wasn't a hit and run. Nor is he responsible for that man going onto spiral into depression and alcoholism. That's very unfair. The speed limit in the UK is 70MPH. He has earned a shot more-so than the likes of TERRENCE CRAWFORD. You get hypocrites who say 'Khan hasn't earned his shot, let's see Pac in with Crawford'. He should earn a shot, but guess what..Maidana, Rios, Guerrero, Ortiz and Berto earned a shot! Stop imagining that this 'shot' is a thing of rising to the the top. He fought Julio Diaz who's a stylistic threat, he fought Collazo in his first time at welterweight after Collazo (a guy who I have beating Hatton AND Berto), knocked Victor Ortiz out. He surely is annoying outside of the ring with the way he talks of May/Pac negotiations, but guess what? I'm still a fan because of who he is in the ring. I don't think boxers are necessarily angels, hell, they want to HURT people to earn money. Let's not take the high ground. Khan fights Algieri, people hate on Khan. Brook fights Donut Dan and Gavin, they pucker their lips ready to kiss Brooks ass.
It's not really Khan so much that I dislike, other than his ugly, spazzed out, re**** style. I just don't like how people overrate speed and overlook many other attributes of boxing, and assume a guy must have good boxing skills because he has speed. Khan is the prime example of this. So it's not really Khan that I dislike so much as it is the ignorance of a lot of fans. Khan does talk too much for his own good and puts his foot in his mouth, but that doesn't really bother me. We see that all the time in boxing. I don't know why people have a problem with Khan not being nearly as good as he thinks he is. I mean, what is he supposed to think? He's trying to compete at the highest level. Sure he overrates himself, but he's supposed to think he's the best. Would you want him to think "yeah I have a weak chin and leaky defense, my footwork is bad, I'm another knockout waiting to happen, I get so excited that I always fall onto my opponents when i throw a right hand"??
Pretty much the problem I have. People mistake speed for skills. When you actually look at Khan, you see he has obvious flaws.
I quite like Khan. He's rarely in a bad fight, win or lose and that's all I really care about. Khan's had a good career, particularly when you compare him to the guys he's competing with. Take Brook, for example. Brook turned pro a year before Khan and has had a similar number of fights. Yet in all that time he's fought only one world class opponent and is only recently a belt holder. Khan, meanwhile has fought at world level for around six years, faced around a dozen world champions and is a two weight champ. No matter how the rest of his career pans out, he's already done better than most.
