Medzhidov beat Cammarelle in my book. They already gave him a match v. Savon. Medzhidov would have stopped the hype train in the gold medal match.

And was with headgear. He would have got KO-d without it.

Joshua was lucky against Savon, Dychko and Cammarelle.

But compare him to Wilder at the olympics 2008:

    - got the weakest "quarter" at the Round of 16 (Toulbini, Pitt, Arjaoui)
    - luckily wins the quarter-final
    - don't met the better guys before semi final (Usyk, Russo, Chahkhiev, Acosta)
    - get schooled by Russo

Not a chance AJ would have survived this without headgear on.

It would have ended like this without it.

As much as I believe Joshua gets overrated here, the amateur results don't mean caca in the pros.

If beastly looking Jorge Luis Gonzalez would have never turned pro, all we would be hearing about from keyboard warriors is how he handled lineal HW champ Bowe in the amateurs

True, won/loss record doesn't mean all that much... for example, Mike Tyson's style was not good for the amateurs but good for pros...but lack of foot and hand speed, and lack of chin does mean something.

    You can't teach chin.
