If Bill Gates had the power, and he didn't believe in any ultimate consequences, what would stop Bill Gates from murdering you in cold blood?

You suffer from illusory intelligence. You can't seem to grasp the consequences of an atheist society. Perhaps, for you, assuming that you're one of the tiny minority of people that has the power to influence people and even have control over their lives, this could benefit you. However, for the majority of people, a society run by atheists is destructive.

Let's say that I'm a rich and powerful atheist. Imagine that technology has progressed to the point to where I can monitor all your movements and I can use directed energy weapons to control you.

I see that the world's population is growing to the point to where Thomas Malthus's dilemma is beginning to be realized. I discuss this with other world leaders who also have access to the same technology that I have.

What would stop us from removing 5.5 Billion people from this planet? Why should we keep everyone around? There is no consequence for leaving you where I find you, so why shouldn't I do that?

 

I have the ultimate influence and control over MY life. I want to do a good job raising my children, have as many happy moments as I can, and when the time comes, die with as few regrets as possible. If I can see GGG vs Canelo, that would be nice also.

If you want to be controlled by belief systems that are outdated by a couple of millenia, and influenced by those who interprete it for you, then that's on you. Go for it. But judging those who don't share your belief system and calling them evil is not only wrong, but it is most likely against you're own religious teachings(unless, of course, you are of a certain religion. In that case, judge and hate till your heart is content)

 

Pretty sure that deeply religious people are doing just fine at reducing the worlds population at the moment. Mostly eliminating each other. Its so damn sick 😢
