    I meant POWER STYLE striking

Next to McGregor, Edgar has hands down the best boxing in the ufc. I've been saying it since penn.

Mendez is part of alpha fail. They rely on power striking tactics such as long range uppercuts.

Frabky caught him with the same straight right counter of an uppercut which holyfield used cs Douglas.

Finished him off with a nice and tight technical 1 2 3.

    Technique beats power

They exchanged, Connor timed his punch and landed with accuracy. He was better in that moment as his eyes remained fixed on Aldo, where as Aldo's eyes were all over the place. Connor landed first and as a result history has been written. Be under no illusions, they both had their defensive hand down, they both got caught but one landed first and that's all she wrote.

I agree, MMA has very bad striking. This is why I believe some journeymen boxers should give it a try, they could really become something great on that platform.

He said journeyman,Toney was a former four weight world champion even if he was way past it he was still better than a journeyman if the guys at MMA were as bad as he said Toney should have walked in there and destroyed him and its not like the guy he faced was in his prime either, hell Randy Coutore was pushing 50 years old and he choked out Toney in one minute. One year after that Toney went 12 with Lebedev but he couldnt last one minute with Coutore in the cage, Anyway shot Toney or prime Toney its irrelevant cause the result would have been the same.

Randy would always beat Toney in MMA just like Toney would always beat Randy in boxing its as simple as that dont know why its so hard for some of you to understand it.

i think some of you guys need to think about the level of boxing in Ireland, hence how McGregors' level of boxing is so superior to everyone else in the UFC at the minute.

Ireland has arguably the best amateur boxers, in Europe, and if you think about the size of Ireland, you could nearly say Ireland has the best amateur set ups in the world of boxing.

Its now known as the Cuba of Europe for its consistent level of high acheiving amateur boxers.

They regularly win medals in the olympic games, world championships, european championships etc.... And this is with a nation of just 4 million.

Conor regularly spars with the top level amateur boxers of the country, and also with a bunch of pros (World title contenders)

Can this be said for other UFC fighters?????

Thats one of the reasons his level of boxing is so good.

At in the fact he's getting world class sparring, he's also extremly talented, and has without a lethal left hand.

Aldo spends his time with the best Kickboxers on earth.

    As does Fury.

Lots of guys spend their time with specialists or have them as team members.

Spending a few camps with someone isn't the same as growing up in a high class system.

Mcgregor sent to crumlin ABC, which if im not mistaken has produced an all Ireland amateur champion every year for donkies years now. The guys that train there are really high level.

I've heard rumours that when he was a teenager he'd arrive at the club. Knock other lads out but not bother turning up for a month, so the head trainer ****ed him off.

McPhaggot's boxing is trash. Being a good puncher doesnt make you a good boxer. This is why he is fighting for 500k in MMA instead of making millions in boxing.
