You mean the guy who represented Canada, and only came to England to get money from the fairweather Limeys? That guy???
Born and Bred in the UK, And cut his teeth as a pro in his beloved country of England. that guy lennox lewis took tua to puglist school, joshua would do the same to parker, but he'd park his ass on the mat in the 5th round. :deal
Why did he represent Canada then??? He only came back to England for the money lol. I rate both guys very highly. But it's very clearly to me that with all of the spite many British fans show towards Parker that there is fear he would beat Joshua, even if it's at a subconscious level. It's obvious that Parker is legit and not a fraud like Wilder, so I don't get the hate from British fans.
The fact is people are ducking him...they obvious see what his fans see. He is a legitimate threat to those above him in the rankings. This is directly from his matchmaker: We offered - Johan Duhaupass (well before he was considered for Wilder) - Arnold Gjerjaj the undefeated current Euro Champ, Chris Areola - Travis Kauffman - Mariusz Wach before he was considered for Povetkin - we tried to make Chisora - we had offered Glazkov before he was IBF # 1 - Christian Hammer before his loss - Lucas Browne - Mark DeMori - Solomon Haumono - Fres oquendo (pre Chagaev) - Odlanier Solis - Kyotaro Fujimoto (WBC 15) - Andrey Fedesov - Shannon Briggs - Eddie Chambers - Malik Scott after he beat Leapai - Cunningham & Gerber ... I can assure you that decent money was offered to all - equally as much as theyd be offered to fight in the USA or abroad - and in some cases much more. All of these guys we felt were right for Joe in bringing him along. For the record thats 20 opponents who have all rejected fights with Joe .. and there are at least another 10 + on top of that - Marcin Rekowski, Rudenko (prior to Browne - in fact we had him scheduled to face Joe on the Klitschkop vs Leapai card and he pulled out with an injury) .. amongst others. So why are they not ready to fight Joseph?
Molina had all but agreed to fight Parker but Wilders people plucked him so that fraud could have an easy first defense, only it didn't turn out to be an easy fight with Wilder getting badly stunned by a left hook and dropping a couple of rounds to the limited Molina. Gjerjaj is a fraud who at best is operating at European level, he ducked Chisora do. He just went life and death with and arguably lose to Bakhtov, he also struggled with Redzovic. So yeah I believe that..... Fujimoto knew he was in over his head, De Mori is a clown who's been feasting on absolute bums for years and has somehow managed to stay ranked(obviously waiting for a payday and finally got it with Haye) Parker is high risk at this point and not known to casual fans outside of NZL, so a lot of guys who aren't career journeymen aren't going to want to fight him. Other prospects who have ambition, and a lot of contenders are obviously going to avoid this kid like the plague because of what he brings to the table. But that's to be expected.
What he said! Those saying that Joshua is chinny because he got caught by a heavy punching, 6' 4", 18st heavyweight who had 14 straight knockouts coming into the fight are just lying to themselves. Joshua took the shot and within 4 or 5 seconds was back on the offensive which is not the trait of a fighter with poor punch resistance. Get over it, Joshua proved by taking that shot that his chin is sound, so you can tick that off, reluctantly if you wish, from your list of potential flaws in Joshas make up.
The difference being if that was a left hook by Parker, Joshua would have had to withstand an onslaught for the next 4 or 5 rounds, not a few more punches before Whyte got gassed and Joshua recovered. To be honest, look at how Whyte throws his punches compared to Parker anyway...I am not sure Whyte hits nearly as hard as Parker who loads up very well using his legs. Whyte tends to fling himself when delivering punches and doesn't put his weight in behind it.
Parkers too raw and doesn't carry enough one shot power to get through Joshua. Even if he lands, his opponents get up time after time and if you can't finish against a huge power puncher like Joshua then it's only a matter of time. Also Parker doesn't have the variety of punches or the foot speed to get him in close enough to do any damage. I'm not sure why you think one shot from a light fisted Parker would result in 4 or 5 rounds of onlought. Whyte is a much harder puncher than Parker and his biggest punch of the fight did nothing more than knock Joshua off balance for about 4 seconds. I like Parker, he's an honest fighter who's working his way up but he's got limitations that will prevent him from ever troubling the likes of Joshua.
Do you even know who Parker is? Joseph has some of the quickest feet in the division and he is not a light puncher at all. I doubt Joseph has as much pop as Whytes left hook but he has 100x more speed, timing and accuracy. Speed kills, Joseph has enough pop to hurt Joshua and he definitely has enough speed and conditioning to do the job once he's hurt. I still feel AJ is the favourite because has is more proven at this stage and has faced the better competition (especially after Whyte). Parker can still win though
