This isn't a thread for Ward haters or ggg nuthuggers.

I think we can all admit Ward's right hand is average at the elite level. A step below Pascal. I can't figure out how he's going counter Kovalevs long jab to the body. Kovalev is very rangy and I cant see Ward get around it.

Don't get it confused his left arm is the best in the game and if kovo was a southpaw, I would have ward winning.

Froch had a long jab too.

    Ward will find a way

Dictating the distance is one of the things Ward does best. The jab won't be his main problem, the power will be. Take away Kovalev's power and Ward would outpoint him with relative ease, regardless of whatever else Kovalev has to offer. But the power is mind boggling.

Froch doesn't have the range Kovo has and kovo throws the jab to the body and then springs back.

Froch leaves his left hand low enough to get countered easily

Yea but kovos jab is what setups his lethal power. If you can disarm the jab, you get his with power shots.

I think 80 percent of the top 25 in the lh division has power. Only few have the jab to set it up

Ward is the better boxer and has beaten better opposition. If ole' man Hopkins could nullify Kovalev's offense then I think Ward will be able to do the same *and* land his own punches in the process...

I think Bhops right hand is better than Wards though.

166 punches landed on Hopkins, great assessment *******. Kovalev not only landed on Hopkins, HE LANDED MORE PUNCHES ON HOPKINS THAN ANYONE .....EVER.

    That's one hell of a nullification.
