Ortiz takes it decisively and puts the division on notice.

It's a much bigger step up for Ortiz but credit to Jennings for taking on a dangerous south paw that nobody wants to fight.

Agreed. Ortiz is old and isn't that active.

I pick Ortiz in the mid rounds for a KO. Not sure if Jennings will like the rough stuff early on.

He's not any more dangerous than fellow heavyweight southpaw Artur Szpilka, and doesn't have a win anywhere near as good as Artur's best... which is really embarassing, actually. :tired

picking Jennings based on better opposition leading up to this fight, his speed and gas tank.

Jennings has been out of the ring for eight months at this point though...it might've been worth it for him to take a tune up a couple of months ago but nothing to be done about it now. And fighters routinely take off that much time this day and age so maybe it's not a big deal.

Do people think that Ortiz is a better fighter, or even more accomplished, amateur or pro, than fellow Cuban Mike Perez?

    Definitely more powerful than Perez.
I thought he showed good skill against a quick Kayodee before he sparked him.
My mates who know more about boxing than I do are picking Jennings, but I feel Ortiz is no Bowie Tupou (who dropped Jennings), and his shots will count.
Also Ortiz has no neck, and has never been in trouble

Jennings is like the heavyweight version of Bradley, underrated and underpowered. Ortiz is much more fan friendly, hopefully he does have the skill and confidence to hurt Jennings cuz not even Wlad was able to do that. Unless Jennings has an off night or just not motivated or hungry enough, I don't see Ortiz winning it. Ortiz is going to have to put in his best performance, goin to have to use that Cuban skill and high ring IQ they known for and snap that jab out and find ways to hurt Jennings. This should be either The Real King Kong's coming out party or he's goin to get exposed. No one except for Wlad has been able to handle Jennings.

I really like this fight, nice card as well . I think Jennings beats Ortiz most likely by decision.

Jennings stamina and pro experience edge should come into play and I think he pulls out a close fight over the last few rounds.

The winner has to be seen as one of the top heavyweights after this.
