Why is Wilder low balling opponents with $250k paychecks for HW title fights?

Fury got something like 3 million sterling to fight wlad so more like 5-6 million

 

I asked the question -- DO YOU REALLY THINK he's been sparring with southpaws? No, of course he hasn't, he wasn't expecting to be fighting a lefty.

My point is, whatever prep Wilder did before Szpilka signed wouldn't give him any advantage because he WASN'T preparing for a southpaw.

A lot of people don't know how fight camps work. Very few, if any, fighters really start seriously training for a fight more than 8 weeks out, and camp for a title fight more often is probably about 6 weeks. Those who do start way early do so because they don't stay in the gym between fights and the early work is just conditioning stuff.

Regardless of length of camp, few if any fighters spar for much more than a month. So most of the opponent-specific stuff is done in 4-5 weeks, maybe six at the outside.

the short camps are because he wants to decrease their ability to win. the low money is because his handlers know he will be cashed out eventually and they want to keep as much of as possible.

 

Szpilka is Polish. In Poland prices and income are low. 250K $ is enough to live next 10 years without doing nothing.

Glazkov would of had to been a total ret@rd to turn down the mandatory contender position to fight the winner of Wlad vs Fury to fight Wilder for 250 k or whatever on short notice.

If I was Galzkov's promoter I would petition to allow Fury to have more time to defend the title. Because no gives a rats ass about Glazkov vs Martin or will consider it a real World Title. Tyson Fury is the only Heavyweight Champion of the World lets get that straight.
