    Is that because he showed up Gary for the spineless coward that he is? Three years of abuse and he quit on his stool.

    I'd say he's a disgrace to the Irish people but he is one in a long line of disgraces when it comes to Irish sport.

    Len, the guy that trashed Martin Murrays performance against GGG........ I can think of one guy who curled up in a ball after one shot....... who funnily enough had Irish blood in him.......... go figure

    People need to get things in perspective before we talk of CEJ fighting for a World Title -Danny Jacobs or some other title: that wasnt even the 3rd or 4th best Irish middleweight - and is a career light-middleweight in fact - yet he visibly hurt CEJ several times, broke his nose too.

    Spike is going for ear surgery on his blown eardrum which destroyed his balance. The ref had already warned Pascal that he was at the point of stopping it, Pascal just took the initiative. Also CEJ couldn't budge Spike despite hitting him with everything he'd got. Worrying lack of pop.

    The fight was not all that significant in the great scheme of things - neither man was even the best in his respective country. Both were completely unproven really. Now we know more - Spike is a granite-tough domestic level slugger, and CEJ has a good engine. Beyond that.....still a looooong way to go though.
