Did Mayweather conciously avoid high stamina fighters?

I don't think Floyd would wilt in the last half.

Again, Clottey was making Margarito miss. Imagine how foolish Floyd would make him look.

 

You haven't watched enough of Margarito, though slow, he threw jabs. In fact he threw all kinds of weird type punches.
Those who have watched enough boxing know that its those weird type throwing guys that bother the more skilled fundamentally sound fighters.

 

You're missing the point though. Margarito wouldn't care about Floyd's potshots landing on him. He would just walk right through them.

 

Everyone plans on walking through Mayweather's punches, until they get into the ring with him.

 

I think his point was that Margarito's jab wasn't as good as Cotto's or Maidana's.

And he's right. Margarito's jab wasn't anything special.

just because Floyd doesn't have raw one punch power doesn't mean even a guy like margarita wouldn't respect his punches....and a guy like margarito is a perfect candidate for Floyd to land accurately on

 

Well Maidana actually did walk through them. So did Cotto. Tough fighters actually have done it.

Problem is Cotto and Maidana didn't have the stamina to capitalize fully on it.

 

Actually, Maidana worked his way in behind a jab and so did Cotto. Neither of them "walked through" Mayweather.

 

Nobody wants high stamina guys, the perfect Joe is the guy that is done fast, even in Porno the attention span is trending towards vine & short span instant dopamine spikes

 

Believe me, they're not missing the point, they just refuse to believe that a lesser skilled fighter could trouble him.
Refuse to believe that "styles make fights" goes for Floyd Mayweather as it would with any fighter in history.

Margarito was getting schooled early and without the injury that's a wide decision if not shutout for Clottey.
