Does it happen though? I hope so but it's looking unlikely.

Eubank did mention in his post fight interview that he'd like to win the british.

if eubank wants to fight for the british then the fight goes ahead but unless its a crazy purse bid and really worth the risk then i don't see it happening. i fancy him vs jacobs and think blackwell could be as tough but without the world title that goes with the jacobs fight so imo the risk/reward isn't there for blackwell vs eubank

If he wants the fight then it's up to Hearn- wasn't Saunders/Ryder the last time that a relatively well known Matchroom fighter fought on another promoter's show?

be surprised if this fight happens. i think Eubank would win it anyway but if the world title shot is there then i imagine he takes it.

great news - fair play to Hennessy - pulling out the stops to get control of this for his fighter. Nick has come up the hard way - he deserves a break. If it happens Im backing Nicky B!

Won't happen. They won't allow CEJ to fight on another of Mick's leisure card shows

That fat ****er should concentrate of hanging onto Tyson's coat tails.

Eubank doesn't want the fight anyway as he'll get beat. For all of the 'Fat W*nker' jibes he actually put his hand in his pocket and delivered for his fighter. Not sure the same can be said about Eddie.

Maybe he doesn't have faith in Eubank, maybe he is a tight c*nt, or maybe they didn't fancy the fight anyway. One of the three above statements must be true!

Do you know for a fact that Eddie even bid? Blackwell brings nothing to the table and is a tough fight. The ultimate no-win for Jr.

Promoter Mick Hennessy submitted the highest purse bid this afternoon – amid fierce competition from Frank ****** and Eddie Hearn – and will now look to secure a date and venue for the Blackwell vs. Eubank Jr. fight in the coming weeks.

From Hennessy sports page admittedly but that is reliable enough for me.

He brings a British title but I understand your point. They probably know Nick can beat him and that is why they won't go near him.

Yeah, when has a promoter ever lied...

Irrelevant. If Eddie had won it, it may have happened. As they didn't, they won't allow Jr to fight in Blue water shopping centre. If anything Mick has put a barrier in place to this happening.

Eubanks credibility will be in tatters if he bypasses the British title: his aul fella calls himself "English" ffs! The clue is in the name!

He MUST try to win that coveted British title - no way round it.
