    This.
We have seen a reaction after a Spike left hook then where he seemed stunned and very briefly in the middle rounds where he got caught by Chudinov.

He needs seasoning. The raw tools of excellent stamina. Strength, and decent hand speed are there. He throws some unusual combinations and his body punching looks very good. (how many times did he uppercut to the head, then go to the body and get clean shots in vs spike)

His punch power doesn't look to be top drawer and he can get wild. Jacobs would counter with something big when Cej swings for the fences. He needs some learning fights he's been brought a long very well so far. Blackwell will be tuff and posses similar strengths to Eubank. If he wins all the better - hes young he wants every fight to be a war - it doesn't need to be.

It never stopped Macklin fighting for world titles despite the fact he was never the best MW in the country.

I've read a few times now that people feel Eubank has no power, is it not just possible that the likes of BJS and SPIKE just have great chins ? Did tyson punch like a whimp because he couldn't get Tony Tucker out of there ??

To be fair I had copped Eubanks' lack of power long ago - long before Chudinov & Spike, both of whom are admittedly granite tough.

Does that mean when Quigg was British champ he was better than British fighter Carl Frampton?

Hearn bid £205k and Mick bid £260k. Hearn has stated that it's up to the Eubanks "who want to build their journey on Sky Sports".

If the Eubank's feel Jr is who they think he is, then it'd be a very wise move to fight Blackwell. He desperately needs fights like Blackwell/Ryder/Khomitsky before stepping in with Jacobs or BJS again.

the same people saying blackwell and jacobs will beat eubank are the same people that said chudinov and o'sullivan would beat him and pretty much anyone that laces up gloves they will support against eubank .

this is supposed to be a british forum and you would expect a bit of support for UK fighters but sadly hardly any UK fighter gets much respect on here anymore .

    haters gonna hate !!

Hang on - Saying Blackwell beats CEJ is hardly un-British?? Both are English! Saying Jacobs beats CEJ is not un British either - its just common sense.
Almost nobody picked Spike to beat CEJ.

Lets be real here, Blackwell is a good fighter but very basic, yes he is a tough guy who will stick in the fight but there is a reason he has lost as many times as he has, he is good to a level but doesn't have the talent to step up beyond that. I think it would be a good fight for Eubank, however I do not see it happening on anything but Sky sports, not that I am disrespecting Channel 5 but I just don't think Eubank and in particular Hearn would have an interest on letting the fight go on there.

I enjoy watching Blackwell and see him attaining fringe world level and perhaps having a crack at a world title before his time is done but I think CEJ is all wrong for him. I'd say their power is broadly the same but, CEJ has faster hands, much better combination puncher, steadily improving footwork and decent defence. Blackwell is a tough SOB and would push CEJ all the way but I just see him a little bit lacking in some areas. CEJ took some hard shots Saturday night, often while exchanging which can often spell disaster so I think he has a pretty stout chin so give him a fair chance against Jacobs aswell as his beard is definitely a bit suspect.

So apparently CEJ has left Matchroom already lol. All that big Sky build up and hype for nothing. Tbh it's no surprise that Hearn didn't go out of his way to win the bidding when the Eubanks are as flaky as they are. Trying to decipher their long term promotional strategy is at times a head-scratcher. Just when you'd thought they'd settled down as well...
