I think that knockdown is helping to sell the fight more than anything.

If there was a video of David Lemieux flooring Golovkin in a three-rounder or in sparring, that would've helped their PPV last weekend.

It helps for sure, the fights got a great storyline and the close amateur bout and KD prove Whytes a genuine threat, but at the end of the day its the public interest in Joshua that sells the PPV.

Of course it will do. Bare in mind Cleverly v Bellew, and Brook v Gavin beat not only GGG's PPV debut, but also Mayweather's.

Thing is mate, British fans were OUTRAGED about this being on PPV before the fight. But after fight nobody was moaning, people were saying bets fight in YEARS.

Congrats to AJ + Whyte for delivering.

Turned out to be one of the best nights of boxing in ages. Even my GF and sister were on the edge of their seat shouting at the telly during the main event

This british moron forgot to mention anthony "big stiff" joshua ppv price is £17 or $25 , while GGG ppv price is $50, so Joshua have to sell 300k to equal GGG's 150k

Thanks for pointing that out. Way better main event (Joshua fought an actual live opponent), way better undercard and for half the price! GGG really is ripping off his fans

Joshua is flatfooted stiff and whyte is overrated , GGG much better boxer than Joshua, GGG fought on global stage , while Joshua was a domestic british fight , that was not even broadcasted in US.

Haye Fraudley, did big business. You generate enough hype on these turf fights and they sell big ppv in UK. Froch Groves is the best example.
