If he mentions the shoulder you and the fanboys scream that he is making an excuse. If he doesn't mention it you complain that his surgery means nothing and a one armed fighter is just the same.

You need surgery to remove your tongue from AJ's oversized colon. Hope Matchroom is paying you well...you'll catch E-Coli.

Well I'm glad you've accepted that there were plenty of rumours and an injury in the not too distant past. That's a start.

Perhaps he didn't want to look like a whiney baby ala David Haye in the aftermath. Perhaps he was embarrassed about being KTFO and keeping a low profile whilst he had the injury assessed by professionals?

That make any sense to you?

Don't think there can be any doubt the shoulder injury is genuine as he just stopped throwing punches after he had Femi in trouble. Not sure why Femi fans are trying to claim he's faking when he's been in for an operation on it. So Femi took 5 rounds to ktfo an injured opponent that should have retired on his stool after round 2.

Whyte did an interview with IFL right after the fight.

He didn't whine or make excuses, he admitted he'd let Joshua off the hook in the 2nd, and that he'd made mistakes later in the fight, which ultimately lead to the KO.

I think the injury is genuine, whether it cost him the fight or not i have no idea, but he did seem to pause after hurting Joshua.

The shoulder injury was known about / rumoured before the fight.
Whyte made no excuses afterwards, to his credit.
Banks mentioned "an injury" in passing, post-fight, while talking about what parts of the strategy they could not implement as well as they should have, but he refused to elaborate and said he had no wish to take from Joshua's win.

The injury was real, no doubt.

Exactly but the major difference is that Dillian and Banks acted with class and didn't try to make an excuse. Despite this the fanboys still refuse to give Dillian any credit. Sad really and they clean aren't boxing fans and are just clueless devotees.
I hope AJ is the real deal and captures numerous titles etc. I just don't think he's all that. If he hadn't been so over hyped and had actually been himself rather than an embarrassing and dull Matchroom puppet then people would warm to him.

I agree with 90% of this post. What I think you've got wrong is AJ's current image with the public. Being a matchroom puppet has endeared him to the brain dead casual audience who think he's the terminator and cheered his every move last week. He's even got the BBC inside claiming he's "only nasty inside the ring" rather than a guy who once said he wanted to "dominate his area".

He's been marketed very well to hide any parts of his personality that the general public might find unsavoury.

    Can't disagree with anything.
The only trouble is the consequences of when he inevitably loses. Myth is often followed by mirth. Look at David Price..beast, next champ, blah blah blah. Once he's knocked out he is a figure of ridicule. The same will happen to the one time Watford Badboy.

Injury or not , Ther guy came to fight , he gave a good fight and he did'nt give up he got stopped ,,, Not like the other muppit Spike , who came with a gameplan of ,, I'll throw big bombs and hope i catch him , if i don't score the lucky mary punch ,, pull me out and we'll go down the boozer and celebrate , my big payday .
