Give me Lewis as he was in the rematch against Hasim Rahman. When he has a purpose, there aren't too many fighters, who would beat him. Lennox preys on bigger man. Wladimir is certainly better than the greenhorn who was knocked silly by Cory Sanders and Lemon Brewster. Still, one thing is clear. Wladimir does not fight well backing up or when pressured. He deserves a great deal of credit for cleaning out the division. However, most of them are fat, lazy and unmotivated. If given room to punch, Wladimir will jab his man silly. Lewis is very smart and he would study Wladimir's style well before the fight begins. He would know the strengths and weaknesses and he would know not to allow Wladimir to use the jab or get off first. Lennox would be aggressive from the beginning. Wladimir can knock Lewis out. He has the tools. The big problem is that he's just not willing to take the chances necessary to get the job done. That is where he and Lennox are different. Lennox is generally cautious. However, he knows when to throw caution to the wind. Lennox would blow the younger Wladimir away, just as he coached Sanders to do. But Lennox is a much better boxer than Sanders is and he has equal or slightly better power. Lennox would go right at Wladimir, who would not have time to set up his defense or offense. There would be a knockdown in round one. However, Wladimir paces himself much better than before. Still, Lewis would keep up the pressure and repeat the trick in round two. By round three, Wladimir would regain his composure and outbox Lennox. Lennox is slowing down and Wladimir wins the round easily. In round 4, Wladimir repeats the same as Lewis paces himself, blocks many punches and lands a few good shots of his own. Just before the bell, Wladimir tags Lennox with a solid right, nearly putting him down. In round 5, Wladimir is a bit more aggressive. However, Lennox is rested well and trades jabs. As Wladimir moves in, Lennox moves just a second sooner, tagging Wladimir flush on the jaw. A quick left right sends Wladimir down hard. He makes it to his feet and Lennox sends him down again. Wladimir, again, makes it to his feet but he's not prepared to continue. Lewis by KO in 5. Poll Results: http://www.boxingforum24.com/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=43643
Wlad by decision. The diehard racists will all vote for Lewis because they can't give any white boxer credit but Wlad is the best of all time. How to judge an ATG, would any other heavyweight beat him? No they wouldn't. Until he met Fury, Wlad had perfected a style that played to his strengths and was unbeatable. People say he only won because of his height... well height is a physical attribute same as reach, power and chin/punch resistance so it's an idiotic statement to make. Its like saying Hopkins legacy should be diminished because without an iron jaw he'd get sparked out. The only boxer who could beat current Wlad would be one taller than him since Wlad's whole style is aimed towards beating smaller fighters. Lennox is smaller than Wlad and so would fall victim to him.
I agree. I would favor Lennox if he were an inch or two taller but since he's only 6'5, he's getting ktfo, definitely.
i voted for Lewis too, im also quite. I thought the point about the klitz praying on smaller fighters was valid, i always wondered what would happen when they met someone taller and looked what happened ?? Lewis would ko both klitz.the most recent of the boring brothers would get counted out.
Most Wlad haters are racists who, if he was African-American from the hood would be calling him the best ever.
Trump and guns solves all problems. If he were president l could probably get me that rocket launcher l've been eyeing.
If they were the same size, I'd actually agree. But Wlad perfected a style that just nullifies smaller fighters. It's dull and boring, but it worked great. A smaller fighter couldn't beat Wlad because of his perfected style. Nothing wrong with it at all. It's just like a fighter with good handspeed working a style that plays to his strength or one with power working a style that allows for its use. Wlad's greatest strength was his reach, height and power and he perfected a style that played to those strengths. Excellent boxer and no smaller fighter would beat him.
listen Vlad was a boring heavyweight overall, so first off that is one of the major reasons fans hated Vlad. It was like John Ruiz, people didn't dislike him because he was latin/Spanish, people hated him because he was awful to watch. so to leave that out off the top is ignorant to me. you better not be a African American hater concealing themselves by trying to claim Vladdy is hated because he is not African American?
