    There are 68 proper world title belts in all division (WBO, WBC, IBF and WBA) 3 are currently vacant. So, out of the 65 belts, they belong to the boxers from the following countries.....

    belts - country - (population) (belts per population)
    3 - Puerto Rico (3.4m) (1.1m)
    1 - Ireland (4.5m)*
    11 - UK (64m) (5.8m)
    1 - Nicaragua (6m) *
    2 - Kazakstan (17m) (8.5m)
    1 - Sweden (9.5m)*
    1 - Dominican Republic (10m)*
    1 - Cuba (11m)*
    8 - Mexico (120m) (15m)
    8 - Japan (126m) (15.75m)
    7 - Russia (143m) (20.4m)
    2 - Argentina (41m) (20.5m)
    3 - Thailand (67m) (22.3m)
    2 - Ukraine (45m) (22.5)
    1 - Venezuela (30m) *
    1 - Canada (35m) *
    1 - Poland (38m) *
    8 - USA (322m) (40.2m)
    2 - Phillipines (98m) (49m)
    1 - South Africa (52m)

    What do you think??

    I assume the UK would be on 12 if the IBF hadn't stripped Fury.

    The UK is clearly the boxing capital of the world.

    Would be interesting to see how the UK belts are divided up amonst Eng/Sco/Wales/NI.

    I think UK has 11 holders, but 13 belts currently?

    If you go by population per belt and more than 1 belt.
    1 Puerto Rico
    2 UK
    3 Kazakstan
    4 Mexico
    5 Japan

    Impressive that the UK not only has currently the most title holders but also scores high on p4p list at third.

    United Kingdom ----> 11 belts
    Soviet Union --------> 11 belts
    United States -------> 11 belts

    The UK is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
    The USSR is Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
    The USA includes Puerto Rico, for those who didn't know that.

    But the USSR has GGG, the greatest fighter in the world. So the winner is Russia, which represents the USSR.

    All those belts and not a single dominant champion for the UK. Odd.

    Puerto Rico is not a state, they can't even vote on the U.S. president, have their own governor, and the U.S. is letting the island drown economically.. doesn't sound too inclusive at all to me.
