Redgrave the rower on Fury's motives on LBC radio at 11am.

    That well known boxing authority, Steve Redgrave, opined that as Fury's recent victory may not have gained enough notice from the general public, then his comments will. That probably being his motive for the BBC award. The presenter of the show, married to one of Redgrave's rowing chums, Cracknell, said that the comments were not surprising coming from a person from his background and someone who punches people in the face for a living. She also spoke to Peter and Tyson as they were checking in at the airport for Belfast. Should be able to hear the hour long item on the LBC website. It was on from 11 until noon.

    So Cracknell can be prejudice against travellers and the boxing community but Fury can't express religious opinions about gays. When is this going to end they are sick in the head anyway, I will say it and it has nothing to do with religion *******uality should be illegal and abortion should only be granted in special cases.

    It's not even his religious beliefs they pick on. Tyson Fury represents everything the middle class lefties hate - is a strong, healthy, hetro***ual white man with his own mind who thinks for himself, not what he's told to think.

    With all due respect Fury does not think for himself. He has had isolated upbringing and is a clone of many of his fellow travellers.

    He clearly is articulate, but needs to be given the tools to discover the whole world; and it takes an incredibly strong person to break away from their clan after having the same things drilled into them for their whole life.

    Nice comments from man thats never done a days work in his life.

    Olympic funding since year dot, and a doctor for a wife.

    I'm a loudmouth, opinionated c*nt, but even i'd tow the line with a life like that.

    Lets hope Auntie takes the same stance with him as they did with Fury.

    Yes indeed, they and their like must find it awfully unseemly to have such a common ruffian, even considered. After all big Steve was awarded the same trophy, thanks, in no small measure to the rest of the crew in the boat. No, far more fitting for Ennis or any of the other safe, forelock tugging candidates to bag the prize and uphold the fine tradition of the best in British sportspersonship!

    How desperate have you got to be to carry this on and on by asking some middle aged ex Olympian his opinions on some comments made in an interview that has nothing to do with his own sport.

    Whoever did that interview with Redgrave should lose their job, of all the questions you could possibly ask him about his career and they chose to slip in a Tyson Fury question :lol:
