Try and avoid fights with shot fighters.

I'm thinking Foreman-Frazier, Sanchez-Gomez, Robinson-LaMotta VI, Hearns-Duran, Pacquiao-Barrera, Hopkins-Trinidad, etc. Those are some of the fights I can clearly remember watching where somebody just got it handed to them.

Holmes-Cobb has got to rank high.

Cobb was ridiculously tough but that's all he was. A brutal 15-round beating.

that was a classic KO. They could have counted for 5 minutes. Avelar was not going to move.

    Duran-Davey Moore.

Wouldn't say LaMotta-Robinson. It was only one-sided near the end when Jake was completely spent.

I just watched that fight on youtube after reading your post. Man I don't think I've seen something like that before.

How did Avelar not fall over. He ate like 10 haymakers in a row. And he wasn't throwing back. He must have been out on his feet. He just stood there getting whacked.

    Vitali vs Briggs.

One of the very few times I actually felt uncomfortable watching!

Am I the first to think Dempsey-Willard? Kinda defines the term.

lacy v calzaghe would have been better for lacy if calzaghe had more power because calzaghe stodd in his face and peppered him for nearly every second of every round .

i agree briggs v vitali was painfull to watch/ briggsa was ultra brave in that fight.

    mayweather v gatti

i read about an old time fight recently, i think between 2 travellers where one fighter knocked his opponent down in each of the 65 rounds they fought and then most probably out of sympathy agreed to end the fight in a draw as his opponent would not quit.

Been mentioned but Duran - Davey Moore. Hard not to feel sorry for Moore in the end.
